  4. Hope she gets a lovely part spanner x
  5. The article was contradicted in the letters sent out to those invited to audition for dada this year which clearly stated that it was an exceptional year and they were all worthy of a place . Lil
  6. Yes but had my dd not got funding, perhaps because there was just one person above her on the list ; she still would have the same potential as if that other person had never auditioned and she had got that funded place. I know that there are a lot of people in that position, with very talented children who may just have missed out on the limited funding available. Lil
  7. I think it is easy to say that you wouldn't send your child to vocational school regardless of whether you can afford it or not until you are put in that position. I couldn't send my dd to vocational school without funding and she knew this when she auditioned for a 6th form place. However, had she not got funding and I could afford the training, I would have let her follow her dreams. Lil
  8. Ouch ! Does she have them with Darcey Bussell! X
  9. Huge congrats to all the yes letters - so pleased for you - Belljul, you have such talented children! Sorry to hear your sad news grumpybearzuk - big hugs to your dd and the others with no letters x

  11. You will be brill - look forward to seeing you at the end of the month x
  12. Thanks c4d- look forward to hearing from you . I have looked at some of the policies suggested by private MSG but noticed that in the exclusions , it says treatment incurred as a result of sport for which your child receives monetary reimbursement including grants ! Lil
  13. Thank you - I have replied and hope to hear from you again soon ! Lil
  14. My dd wore them! Lil Edited to add - actually that may have been a senior moment - I think she wore soft blocks x
  15. I am sure this has been asked before but I can only find a very old thread . Would any parents whose children are in 6th form with dada awards advise what medical insurance they have organised. The schools insurance is nearly 300 a term , would it be better to organise this privately ? Lil
  16. They may be a good idea if not long till her exam
  17. DD uses grishko proflex too - they are easy to break in and she can dance in them quickly - the grishko 2007 ones took ages to break in. The only down side is they only last her a few weeks . Lil
  18. Have sent you a pm. Lil x
  19. I hope she gets the funding she needs . Lil
  20. Not necessarily , different schools look for different things - although I am sure she would be snapped up here too! Lil
  21. Ahh just found it - they did audition again last year on september 18th - I knew I wasn't imagining it ... So fingers crossed that happens again this year x
