  1. Oh lovely Pas de chat!! Dd will be delighted. Can I put her on 'friend' list for boarding?
  2. My older DD did the course when she was 9 I think and found the boarding hard (but then she still does at 15!) My little DD is doing the course this time (12). She did it when she was 10 and found the tap hard. She's at vocational school now and enjoying tap so she'll be disappointed not to do it this time!
  3. My little DD is in silver and older DD in Gold so a long day shopping and drinking coffee for me. Hope the weather is kind to us
  4. What colour leotard/tutu Kat09? I loved watching the non vocational girls. Wonderful what can be achieved. I thought both of them danced beautifully! It really was such an hard class. I was very proud of my DD. She knows what she needs to do next year now Well done all of them! Belljul, well done to your DS! He really was wonderful to watch and what an opportunity to have coaching from Thiago Soares!! Good luck to him on Saturday
  5. Thank you. I really don't know. I know there was another boy from her year and quite a few girls from year 11 but only had a minute on the phone x
  6. Thank you Lisadebs. I bet she won't sleep tonight!
  7. Thank you. It's really the boost she needed. Have all sorts of things to replan now! Little DD was meant to be doing BRB insight day but can't be in two places!x
  8. Th audition for 11-13+ audition included ballet. spanish and character according to my little DD
  9. My older DD auditioned successfully before she went to vocational school
  10. The standard was impressively high. My little DD is very tall for her age and so will perhaps have to compete with the girls a few years older than her? She is an expressive dancer so the Spanish and character part of the audition may have gone well for her. Won't be chasing the postman though
  11. Hi Sarahw,Interested in why you say the attitude to children and parents is different
  12. My little DD won't know anyone either. I'm sure there will be lots in the same position. She will just go in and enjoy the class.
  13. My little DD is going. The standard is high but it is also an enjoyable class if I remember rightly (My older DD did the audition about 5 years ago). Sorry realised it was you going Anaballerina!! Good luck and enjoy yourself
  14. I'm interested to know why this course would be so much more beneficial than others to warrant the high cost??
  15. No plans to move. Genuinely wanting to see if progress being made and hoping that DD might get to do WL SS this year
  16. It has happened (hugs for your DD) I'm sure Hammond will love her
  17. Hammond assessments in November don't give much time for progress though do they? I can understand for year 9 as Elmhurst don't assess out until that year but year 10 is the one DC's have more chance of getting in as appraisals often mean a degree of movement (and heartbreak)
  18. Good luck to all auditioning tomorrow
  19. Elmhurst have said they are not auditioning for years 9 and 10 at this audition (which is one of the years my friend's DC is going for). She is completely left hanging….
  20. good point. will tell her to ring. thank you
  21. She still hasn't heard. How strange!
