  1. Is anyone still waiting to hear about an audition date for elmhurst? I know of one beautiful Girl who sent her application early December who has been put on the waiting list and has heard nothing more after the 'last' audition.
  2. Just wanted to wish pas de chat's DD all the best for audition at Hammond on Monday. My DD will be looking out for her to say hi. The Hammond audition was her favourite last year. She came out so full of excitement for the place!
  3. Hi Pas de chat, your DD did really well from what I saw and she is an absolutely delightful girl! So lovely to see her making friends with the girls from Hong Kong. I didn't think they were doing any more stretching than anyone else but I suppose a large group of dancers from overseas is always a bit intimidating. I'm not ballet trained but I thought the British girls held their own very well
  4. Just put working at Inter Foundation Pictures (and a note to say at full time vocational school if there is room)
  5. Hmm sorry I'm confused myself now! The form seems to contradict itself but RBS usually puts children in year groups. By the time RBS students get to Summer at the end of year 8 they will have done almost two years of point though.
  6. As far as I can see 13 years = current UK year 8 10 – 12 years (UK current Academic Years 5 – 7): may apply for one week only at White Lodge 13 years (UK current Academic Year 8): may apply for one or two weeks 14 years (UK current Academic Year 9): may apply for two weeks only
  7. The RBS students do pointe class twice a week right from year 7 so I'm guessing they are hoping that SS students will be keeping up with that level?
  8. The photos in pointe shows are for 13-18 years which seems reasonable. I'm sure RBS realise that 13 year olds won't be at the same level as older girls wherever they are from. 10-12 year olds are required to have bare feet.
  9. I always ask permission out of courtesy. It's good as it makes you think carefully about why you are doing something
  10. I adore your resilience Swanprincess. Olivia and Errol Pickford (Elmhurst) are hoping to do a 3 day course at Dancexchange on 2,3,4th Jan if there is enough interest.
  11. Little DD will be in Silver. She may well be the youngest as she is 12
  12. My little DD has her audition through for the 9th Jan for year 8 entry. It feels so strange to be a year on and her wanting WL so desperately then and now being so happy at Hammond.
  13. Not quite what you asked but my son is a personal trainer and is serious about body building. He has done a great deal of research. He struggles to get enough calories in so drinks whey powder milk shakes. If you get them off amazon it works out much cheaper.
  14. Yes not the best photo but they did all look happy and excited...as they should be
  15. Hi Nana Lily, my year 7 rang very briefly but it sounded like they had lots of room sorting and organising to do. She said lots of girls are homesick tonight but after their late night I'm guessing most of that is down to being tired. I'm sure your DD is fine. She'll be settling into her dorm x
  16. I'm trying to work out if it's a good idea or not,( the vertical streaming) as the 'lower' class would be much smaller presumably?
  17. It must be lovely to get to hear all about her day. My DD said the street dance was difficult (she's never done it before). She'll be more in her comfort zone tomorrow with ballet. Just wondering what level they will start at?
  18. My DD has Bloch split sole canvas from the official supplier. They come with elastic a already sewn
  19. That's the same time that's nice x do tell her to say hello
  20. What time is her exam tutucute? She may be in with my DD?
  21. Now I'm wondering if I saw you dance swanprincess. I got there late because the traffic was horrendous and missed her ballet
  22. Yes little DD did go to OPES (she LOVED it) x
