  1. Well done to everyone, Swan Lake is fab! Anyone going to the EYB Wimbledon audition in June?
  2. Thanks. Dds not too disappointed, she's v pragmatic and knew the chances were low. Will consider the Sat associates scheme for next year, I'm presuming its much easier to get into? The advantage is also that she can try tap which she's been wanting to do for a while.
  3. Well that's a no for us then :-( Spanner - well done to your dd and to everyone else who got a yes. Maybe we will cut our losses and try Tring's associate scheme instead....
  4. But don't they always say there are very few places?? This is the 3rd time dd has tried and they seem to say that every time!
  5. Balletmum20, were there also forms etc in with your letter?
  6. My dd was in Group 2 and letter cam this morning, it's waiting for dd to open! I suspect it's a no though - thin envelope.
  7. Yes I hope so. I didn't fancy making 2 round trips to Birmingham within 3 days! Dds doing a few days at Tring in July and a few days at Harpenden in Aug.
  8. We decided against applying for Elmhurst in the end as it was too far to travel for less than 3 days. Shame they don't do a week!
  9. Think it is the Bloch one. I've ordered it in petite, hope it fits her!
  10. Dd used to have a black cotton all in one warm up. It was getting a bit small anyway then she lost it somewhere. I want to get her a new one for her birthday but can't seem to find the same one. They either seem to be knitted or fleece. This was plain black cotton, sort of thick t-shirt material. I don't think it was too expensive, around £20. Any ideas?
  11. My dds doing the Brentwood one on Sunday. I can't seem to find any time on the info I've got. Does anyone know? She's Grade 4.
  12. How did it go? My dds doing an RAD competition in Essex next Sunday. I have NO idea what to expect either!
  13. I spoke to Elmhurst today and they still have places available. Can I ask a question about it - do children who go tend to be local to Birmingham? We are in London so a bit of a trek but dd is happy to board. In a way I prefer that to a non-residential - less driving involved!
  14. Do you think it's too late to apply if they are already allocating places? Where do you get the photos done?
  15. I know the Elmhurst one has been talked about before.....for the 11-13 year old summer school, do you have to audition?
  16. They ALL seem to be at the same time, late July/early Aug! You'd have thought the different schemes might liaise a bit! Dd will be limited this year because of our family holiday but will prob book a few days of the Harpenden one for her.
  17. No, we are further south than you! Must have been something similar!
  18. Livingonaprayer, I'm sure I've seen that electricity one. Which festivals did she do it at?
  19. Thanks Taxi, how do I find out more details? There doesn't seem to be a phone no on NYB's site.
  20. Does anyone know if this is on this year? I can only see 2012 info on the website. Or any other summer schools that are mid-late August? They all seem to be early in the summer when we are on holiday!
  21. No she's not doing tap or en pointe, just normal ballet shoes for ballet and character.
