  1. Slightly unrelated (but not sure if there is a thread for this yet) - does anyone think the Marriage of Figaro performance next week on the 13th, at 11.30am, might be cancelled? Because I wanted to book for it, but I see there are many empty seats so not sure if it's going ahead?
  2. Indeed - unprecedented times. I suppose there's no chance that Natalia might do the performance on the 13th...or the one on the 1st Feb later in the run. I understand that's not how it works, but as there are no more tickets for the 29th Jan performance I'm trying to hope I might be able to see her in the role somehow!
  3. maybe it went to your spam folder first, then got automatically deleted or something...seems unlikely though given the timings
  4. Same! I also have a ticket for the Nuñez/Bonelli original scheduled performance on the 13th of January next week. Do people think they will still be doing that performance? Because in that case it would be better for me to cancel the one on the 10th, given that I'm supposed to be seeing them a few days later anyway.
  5. Is it because they already sold out from before - I think they were originally scheduled for these dates?
  6. Same, this was my first time seeing the RB's Nutcracker live in a long time. I also wasn't too keen on the Arabian Dance as a pas de deux, but I thought the battle scene was great and the Mouse King - who I believe was David Donnelly - gave an excellent performance. Also enjoyed Romany's participation in the battle scene. I had originally booked for Mayara's performance on the evening of the 23rd which had Joseph Sissens as the Nutcracker, as I was hoping to see him in this role. Still was glad to see Leo Dixon, he did an amazing job - after what I understand was a great deal of extra performances this season - and I got to see Joseph Sissens as the Soldier in the beginning, and in the Waltz of the Flowers. All the Rose Fairy escorts stood out to me: Joseph Aumeer, David Donnelly, Joonhyuk Jun, and Joseph Sissens of course. Also enjoyed Stanislaw Wegrzyn's performance as Clara's partner and in the Chinese Dance with the brilliant Luca Acri. Stanislaw really stood out to me as one of the Poets/Thieves in the Dante Project (along with Joseph Sissens and many others), it was interesting to see him in something more light-hearted after that. Same with everyone else in the Dante Project (which is to me, one of the best ballet/dance productions I have ever seen in my life and I am currently watching the stream every day). Just goes to show how versatile the RB dancers are. Also loved the Snowflakes - Marianna Tsembenhoi stood out to me again as she did in Giselle - and the Mirlitons were excellent. Also Meagan Grace Hinkis as the Rose Fairy. The main thing missing in the Snowflakes was the children singing - I feel like it adds so much to the magic of the piece, and the orchestra almost seemed to drown the recording out a bit.
  7. Same. Mayara was amazing. And Ryoichi Hirano of course. I also cried a bit when the Christmas tree was growing, I just love the music there. Drosselmeyer at the end, seeing his nephew, was so moving.
  8. Because it keeps switching between the new/old checkout service - for me anyway
  9. are people still able to see tickets available for tonight? I can but am wary of the site's technical reliability
  10. Did anyone have a situation where they were shown the new checkout service earlier today (with the seats pictures) but are now unable to see it? I'm quite nervous as I want to get a ticket for tonight and can see some available, but given the ROH website and its technical issues I'm wondering if those seats are actually available and is this information valid? I wouldn't want to turn up to find that the seat has gone. Just wondering if anyone can still see seat availability for tonight?
  11. Oh! I really wanted to see her and Ryoichi before their performances were cancelled. I suppose there aren't any seats left though
  12. Is it more likely that later performances will go ahead and ones on earlier dates might not? Due to potential restrictions
  13. Same, it's quite confusing right now. Will From the Box Office provide refunds if the performance is cancelled? Or is it better to book from the venue website? I'm not sure
  14. If you order tickets fromtheboxoffice, will they be refunded if the performance is cancelled?
  15. Just wait for Act 2 - the music is really amazing. Agree that Joseph Sissens and Calvin Richardson really stood out. Astounding performances.
  16. For those who booked to see Mayara today, I think she's shared a few clips from their stage call on Instagram - just a taster for everyone who's missing it
  17. What do you mean by "deadstreams"? Adoring the Dante Project stream. Of course, it was uniquely amazing live, but still has the same profound impact digitally. Not sure where to ask this, but has Thomas Adès released the orchestral score on Spotify or anywhere else? Would definitely purchase it if I could find it.
  18. Was just wondering, in the case of the ROH anyway (not too sure about other places) have the shared eating areas/selling of refreshments exacerbated the situation at all? I know dining services are a big part of their revenue as well, but was wondering if they'd come back without the additional services it might have been easier to contain spread. I'm sure it wouldn't have made much difference in the end though.
  19. I was annoyed because I didn't understand why the Nabucco performance could go ahead today (20th) and not on the 28th. However, as @Dawnstar kindly pointed out, it's because of the casting: a different cast is performing today who is presumably Covid-free. Same with Tosca. The other cast must have tested positive.
  20. I'm a bit shocked and also kind of annoyed about the Nabucco ones as I was hoping to go on the 23rd/28th. I'm really hoping that none of the January performances of Nabucco are cancelled, as it's such a short run. And hopefully the January performances of Nutcracker can go ahead.
