  1. TodayTix currently has discounted tickets on sale for midweek performances: 27/3, 28/3, 2/4, 3/4 & 5/4
  2. We forget how blessed we are to have early casting announcements from the RB compared to most other ballet companies. Yes it’s frustrating sometimes but the odd delayed announcement every now and then isn’t the end of the world surely.
  3. I wonder if trialling a 7pm start time might encourage more ticket sales. For a ballet close to 3 hours an earlier finish might work better especially if children are coming along.
  4. TodayTix is currently selling discounted tickets for mid-week performances on 27/3, 28/3 & 2/4, 3/4, 5/4.
  5. Bello might be back for his later performances. Seems like the potential crossover with Black Sabbath fans returning to try a traditional ballet hasn't materialised. Except for matinees, ticket sales for the Birmingham dates are slow with midweek evenings very poor. Even Cesar Morales last show on 28th February has more unsold than sold seats. I sincerely hope that sales pick up.
  6. As it’s coming back so soon, I’d hope that all the lead roles would be cast with those who didn’t get a chance to dance them earlier this year. If I have a criticism of the Skeaping Giselle it is that it under-uses so many talented dancers.
  7. I think that is the fault of the interviewer. I think they all got asked the same questions: Tell me about yourself Tell me about your process/piece Tell me about the costumes Tell me about the music
  8. There’s a banner at the top of the page saying public booking has opened for the PSB. Expect a long wait
  9. This is a quote from the press release so it seems that the new production will be rooted in Edwardian London.

  13. and every other choreographer methinks, including from beyond the grave in the case of MacMillan & Cranko
  14. how exciting: The London gala, on February 18, will give audiences a chance to appreciate her distinctive artistry in two pieces: a pas de deux from Alberto Alonso’s flashy version of Carmen (partnered by Denis Matvienko) and the celebrated Dying Swan solo made famous by Anna Pavlova.
  15. With 4 contrasting and varied pieces, there’s something for everyone. My friend and I disagreed about just about everything but we both came away happy because we both found plenty to like.
  16. Einstein's definition of insanity is "Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result." I rest my case
  17. Not surprised as all Friends levels plus PSB fans with priority booking are trying to buy at the same time.
  18. what do you think is the typical seat price for an access seat? it is my understanding that access seats are available in all price bands.
