  1. Yes, since discovering them I've booked many London plays through them at a discount or shortish notice now
  2. I guess it's easy to get hooked on the idea they are just a discount seller when they're not, it would seem
  3. I wonder if the 'excessive bright' will be from people filming it on mobile phones😄
  4. It did indeed say the Linbury but as the seat can't be chosen (at least in advance) I assume we stand on the stage with them
  5. And after all that I find I booked the evening (which I already have) rather than the required matinee!!!🤦‍♂️😄
  6. Oh I just spotted I got my confirmation at 1013 for a ticket booked at 0931...the notification on my phone just didn't pop up like it normally does
  7. You certainly don't need to be a friend, I used to get exactly what I wanted as part of the public release (I go for the sides, the centre is more in demand I feel)...demand does seem to have picked up in more recent times though. People do return them so all is not lost.
  8. Confirmation emails can take a while to appear....it's not Amazon!!🙂 I'm still waiting for mine
  9. And the mistresses are all the same as before they disappeared from the booking page
  10. It's rather strange that even if this is a result of the main stage filter I use, I had the same filter when I booked as today. So they've definitely changed the way it's being displayed. Now it shows multiple performances of promenade performances at 45 mins each. Are people that are going to see the main stage expected to book the 2100 and hope the main stage performance is less than 90 minutes?
  11. Have I missed something somewhere? I've just noticed the New Choreography dates appear to have split in to 'New Works' on the main stage at 1900 and 'Dark with excessive Bright' (which describes many of my curtain call snaps) at 1930/2015/2100 as a 'promenade performance'. When did this appear? Have I fallen foul of my 'main stage' filter on my what's on bookmark?
  12. They all seemed to post it as an Instagram story, so would only provide publicity for 24 hours each. Great to hear that she's been found 🙂
  13. Just received this news about the Fedtival of New Choreography We are looking forward to welcoming you to The Royal Ballet’s upcoming Festival of New Choreography. We have a wonderful range of events taking place across different parts of the Royal Opera House that champion new and diverse voices in dance. Please be aware that due to programming changes, we have reviewed the pricing for our New Works production. You will be refunded accordingly. Please keep reading for more information. PROGRAMMING CHANGES Part of the Festival includes New Works, a mixed programme of world premieres on the Main Stage. One of the works scheduled for inclusion is by Joseph Toonga who undertakes this Season’s choreographic residency with The Royal Ballet. Due to dancer injuries in his cast, it has not been possible for the work to be completed and the decision has been taken to postpone his creation until next Season. The programme will continue with Main Stage choreographic debuts from Gemma Bond, Jessica Lang, Mthuthuzeli November and First Artist Joshua Junker. Our Festival Insight on 5 February will still involve Joseph reflecting on his creation process working with The Royal Ballet. PRICING CHANGES We have lowered prices for this slightly shortened New Worksprogramme on the Main Stage and are therefore now contacting you as a ticket holder to refund the difference in price. Please allow the Box Office until Friday 19 January to process this refund which will be made as a credit via your original method of payment.
  14. During Don Q I noticed one woman had come in with a box of chocolates, whether they were mainly for her I don't know but I did notice her offering some to the ushers 🙂

  16. Are those ballets really subject to strictly conditions re the rank of the dancer in particular roles? I can imagine the Cranko estate insisting on that kind of thing for Onegin though😄
  17. What lovely news.🙂 Interesting that it's a) in the middle of the season and b) we've been given a month's notice of it
  18. On offer, the wonderful D50 SCS, only £12 If interested please message.
