  1. Hope everyone is happy with what they got at casting. DS can’t wait to hear.
  2. I’m a chaperone but I’ve booked a ticket for the Saturday night.
  3. We are away on our hols so will miss casting 😢 so hoping to get an email soon after. Anyone know what the chaperone arrangements are likely to be?
  4. Thanks Confuddled. I was wondering if there was parking in the school as it is the holidays?
  5. Re rehearsal venue. I’ve just looked at the letter and on the first page it says parking is limited and on the second page it says there is plenty of parking! Anyone know which is correct? Thanks.
  6. So I'm guessing your DD is doing this? Has she done any before? We haven't but went to see AdageKitty's daughter in Copelia and were very impressed!
  7. This may be a bit early but we are very excited that DS is doing this! Based on the main thread there are at least two others on here who are doing it. It will be great to be in touch especially as we aren’t able to make the casting day.
  8. I’d missed that! I was wondering if it was too early to start a thread. It would be great to be in touch with others who are doing Swan Lake.
  9. If it’s the same as dance then it runs pretty much the same as the local festivals except the competition is tougher as you’re now competing against the qualifiers from the local festivals. Dance adjudicators are named and qualifications listed on the website. Hope that’s helpful and good luck to DS.
  10. If you have £25 to spare the repertoire videos are available on the RAD app That’s £25 per level
  11. I finally got through to them today. They said they had an issues with WorlPay over the BH weekend. Anyhow I'v been refunded for one item and the other is coming. Still a bargain thanks!
  12. Boys are from 13. Looks like that will be 2021!
  13. Could drive there and take the dog. She’d be pleased!
  14. No problem BlueLou I’m happy if the thread is useful others as well!
  15. Looks like Dar Danse is from 12 so maybe 2020!
  16. Ah yes that would help! He's 10 will be 11 next year. He's doing Ballet Grade 5 RAD and Interfoundation. He also does Tap, Jazz, Modern, Acro. We don't mind city or beach. Will look up everyone's suggestions thanks.
  17. I am thinking of booking a summer school overseas next year so DH and I can get a holiday while DS gets to dance! Anyone got any tips/recommendations? Thanks
  18. One advantage of having a DB!
  19. Thankfully there's never a lot for boys! Still managed to get a few bits. Thanks for the tip!
  20. My 10 year old DS does 3 hours ballet, 3 hours tap, 2 hours acro/conditioning, 2 hours jazz/modern a week. We have been told about the same amount of hours per week as their age is OK. He actually does more than that with exam practice, festivals etc. Plus holiday intensives. I suggested dropping one class and he's begged me not to. He will do a 2 hour class and them come home and dance until bedtime! We know he's ill if he doesn't dance.
  21. Yes it was the same for juniors
  22. DS was awarded the scholarship in Dec 2016. It was a massive confidence boost. It was lovely to see him with his 'tribe'.
  23. We braved it through the snow and had a wonderful time at Rickmansworth. DS even more excited about Swan Lake now!
  24. We will certainly give it a go because his friend is in it. Wondering if it may be your daughter AdageKitty? Thanks for local weather info Pointetoes.
