    I know someone who was approached to take over the position several weeks ago. Well before the official announcement of Mrs Durante's departure was made.

    A bit sceptical ? You can't be sceptical when you have the honor of working with an artist and ballerina like Viviana Durante ! There are some incredible things happening with this new generation....

    When did we see them for the last time on the ROH stage ? Hope 2024 will be better for those two wonderful dancers !

    It seems that it will be impossible for this series of performances to match the quality of the cast with Alina Cojocaru a few years ago (with Cesar Corrales in the Peasant pas de deux). A great ENB era.

    Zenaïda Yanowsky ? Laura Morera ? Those two wonderfully intelligent women would certainly do a terrific job as RBS AD.

    Thank you all for your answers. My question was more the following : how could have Monica Mason missed out on talent such as William Bracewell and Vadim Muntagirov ? because even if they were not as good as they are now the potential was there. I have the same question for William Moore wonderful dancer who danced in Stuttgart and Zurich. Very mysterious to me ! And it's not because these dancers chose to go elsewhere, out of the RBS the main company is always the first choice I think !

    William Bracewell and Vadim Muntagirov are certainly among The Royal Ballet's finest dancers. Both men were trained partly or entirely at The Royal Ballet School, but surprisingly did not join The Royal Ballet when they graduated. Was this a choice on Monica Mason's part ? If this is the case, given their exceptional talent, one might wonder about her selection....

    The Royal Ballet is not very lucky with Don Q ! I was in the audience many years ago when Fumi Kaneko injured herself in the middle of Act one, they had to close the curtain, we had to wait for a while and Kevin O'Hare came on stage to announce that Marianela Nunez had accepted to finish the show... Exactly the same story happened the second time I was in the audience for Don Q, this time it was Natalia Osipova getting injured at the end of act one and we had to wait even longer to get the news Akane Takada had accepted to finish the show...

    I think Isabelle Gasparini and M.G Hinkis are good and efficient first soloists but don't have the qualities we can expect from a principal dancer at The Royal Ballet.

    What about Natacha Mair ? She does not seem injured if I referred to her instagram account.

    Aaron Watkin on Les Noces : "It's more grounded, it's more physical". Grounded ok maybe but more physical than Theme and Variations ? really ?

    Great to have casting until June ! No news about who will dance Theme and Variations in September or have I missed something ?

    Am I right if I say that Natacha Mair is now the only principal ? This Lead principal and principal don't make sense to me, when did they start this ? A principal is anyway a leader !!!

    I just noticed that Rina Kanehara is no longer a member of ENB, sad as she was so promising a few years back !

    I have just read the comments about Wayne McGregor coming from those of you who are hoping that he will soon be replaced at The Royal Ballet. As a frenchman, I don't think you understand how lucky your are to have such a repertoire and such choreographers. The Paris Opera Ballet is forced to come to London to steal english ballets such as Dante, Mayerling, Manon, La Fille... I attended the premiere on Friday and I think Untitled is one of McGregor most accomplished work for The Royal Ballet. It is so cleverly made, the dancers are so wonderful, it is really a little masterpiece.

    Well if you are glad with this Royal Ballet Season great for you, but if directors don't start NOW with adding female choreographers (from today or from the past) then WHEN ? An effort must be made to put and end to this patriarchal hegemony, it seems to me that it is the responsability of an artistic director in 2023. Do have a look at Cathy Marston's season in Zurich !

    One female choreographer only in the main house ? I think Kevin O'Hare should make an effort, we are in 2023... And not a single creation ? I must say that I think it might be good for The Royal Ballet to think about having a new director, someone with fresh ideas and vision...
