DD has been put in group 3 for auditions so should she wear tights or socks?

Not really the same as actually at dance but DD used to use a keyboard stand as a barre until we got her a proper portable ballet barre and it was really just as good though a lot smaller and not as strong

Finally received an email from Tring though we don't know what it means on the timetable when it's says photos. Are they taking photos of DD or are we bringin in photos?

DD is currently in year 8 but would love to audition for a year 10 place at a vocational schools though my husband and I aren't to sure whether this is a good idea yet. I seem to hear lots about the top vocational ballet schools in UK on this forum and less about others so I was wondering what other vocational schools are there in the UK that take from year 7? (Ballet only please)

Hi, we applied for Tring Cba auditions about a month ago and we haven't heard back from them yet to say that DDs place has been confirmed for the audition. Is this normal, or should I phone in to ask about it?

Thanks for all the help, DD is going to set out a weekly plan for after school for homework tonight so I'm hoping that will help!!

Hi not sure whether anyone will really be able to answer this but here it goes. DD is in year 8 and gets 10 pieces of homework on average a week which she finds very hard to do most of the time. And as she is in top set for everything the standard is very high - she is not at grammar school though. She dances everyday of the week except for Tuesday but her lessons are always at awkward times. Does anyone have any tips for juggling school work with dance? She often ends up cramming it in after dance which means she goes to bed later than usual and to her despair she doesn't get to stretch! Any help would be fab!! Thanks

Dd has very slim feet so we bought Bloch CA stretch canvas shoes from dancia and they have lasted a v long time and fit perfectly!

DD has a pack of three USA pro ones from sports direct and she uses the purple colour which is the strongest out of the three but not too strong.

I think RDBS teacher is called Henrietta something - I'm not too good on ballet dancers names!

Also, does anyone know if 12-13 year olds have to do pointe work and dd isn't en pointe??
