  1. Thank you happy mum to be honest she wasn't as enthusiastic as the last 2 years and she loves elmhurst so much , so much that that is the only school she wants to audition full time ! Just disappointed as she got waiting list last year, but as we now know from these last few years there are plenty more good options well done to the yes's and sorry for the no's
  2. Birmingham is out and it's a no for us, good luck to everyone waiting
  3. Congrats on the yes's and like people have said the nos could be yes's next year my dd got a no for year 4 a waiting list for year 5 and we are waiting for the Birmingham year 6 results ! When she got a no the first year , she didn't give up and auditioned at elmhurst and got a place . Good luck everyone xx
  4. Lovely news well done to your son weird having emails so used to letters! Xx
  5. My dd has auditioned for JA twice now , first time got a straight no for year 4 , year 5 when everyone said not much point as there would be few places she got a short waiting list but didn't get a place and tried again for year 6 and now waiting . No point guessing what they are looking for as I have seen a very big variety of sizes on the ones that got places and all with different abilities , one was very slim and you could say perfect body for royal but has no musicality at all ! So I'm not guessing anymore and to be honest my dd will just take it in her stride as she is very happy as a Elmhurst Associate . One girl I know was a JA for 3 straight years and this year didn't get a place on mids or full time training at white lodge and she has always been one we looked at as having perfect royal body . So my advice is just take it in your stride and it's not the end of the world if they don't get a place there is other opportunities out there which they can enjoy:) good luck to everyone xx
  6. Elmhurst normally email you think I heard within the week
  7. Hi my dd was there last weekend I was very worried as she is very shy and does find it difficult to talk to people but she had a amazing time and it helped her so much with her confidence. It was a lovely little show and loved the flamenco dancing! She has now decided she wants to go there full time !!! God help me
  8. Hi my dd is in year 5 at Birmingham as a associate . The location is brilliant as it is just slightly outside city centre and their car park is pretty decent. She starts at 9.15 for ballet then she does exercise at 10.30 . They are a hour each . My dd doesn't do jazz but that is after exercise. Hope that helps a little. Any questions message me if you need to! She loves it there and started in year 4 she is going on the Easter course and she's very excited:)
  9. Sounds amazing if the dance we saw is anything to go by then I'm sure it was a pleasure to watch I hope we are fortunate enough to experience this xxx
  10. Hope u all have a fantastic day ! Lovely news xxxxxxx
  11. My dd is 9 and in grade 4 I trust her ballet teacher to decide when she is ready for the next grade and if she thought she couldn't keep up and holding others back I am sure she would say something. Your dd ballet teacher must have thought she was capable enough otherwise she wouldn't have let her do it . Don't take her out just because a mum has problems with it if your dd is enjoying her lessons leave her where she is x
  12. Sorry to hear that mumstheword but its always worth to keep trying xx
  13. When we went to the open day last Saturday Denise whiteman did say that Miss Creaton who normally is the one who contacts everyone is now on maternity leave so they are getting someone to fill in so might not be as prompt as normal;) good luck to those waiting to hear x
  14. Yes I agree it's a big part of their lives and would have been nice to get a certificate to save and look back on:) I have a ballet folder for my dd that I put all her exam certificates and letters and anything else she has done into so she has something to look back on when she is older
