Sorry to gatecrash your thread but I was wondering will this be the venue for the rbs mid associates auditions in January? as my daughter is auditioning and the email said they would let me know the venue 2 weeks before the audition but I like to be prepared much more in advance if possible.

Can somebody confirm that I am reading the website correctly, my dd would like to audition for MA classes in Newcastle but there is no audition dates for Newcastle so that means she would have to audition at a different location for a place at Newcastle?

Is it just a case of the new teacher not wanting to upset the existing one and make her feel like she is stealing her pupils? Never heard of this before. Have your dc been attending the existing school through the hols? I would have thought it would simply be a case of new term, new dance school of your choice.

Yes I emailed and have heard nothing, are they always slow to reply? Can anyone tell what age group these courses are for please.

Hi my daughter auditioned last year and was put on the reserve list and auditioned this year and got a no but she's not been put off as she wants to try again next year. She really enjoyed the audition each time but there was a lot auditioning and I don't know how many places are available. I'm sure someone on here has children who attend and can give you more info. x btw my dd is also attending their summer school this year which she is looking forward to, closing date 20th June.

The RAD North East one has been cancelled due to lack of interest, it's such a shame, DD enjoys these events.

Can anyone recommend someone who fits Pointe shoes in York please. It will be DD first pair and I don't have a clue what to look out for so need a trusted fitter.

Hi balletmummy, my dd age 6 is doing her primary exam this month, it's her first one but has watched her older sister go thru them so is excited and looking forward to it, she too has been doing 2 classes a week and concentrating on the necessary exercises and dance. We were given the exam format to practice with and during her lessons she has been told where to stand and who she will partner. On monday they are doing a mock exam with all the mirrors covered. Can someone tell me the school/companies who hold monthly associate classes rather than weekly? we live in North Yorkshire and will have to travel far so monthly would suit rather than weekly.

Can anyone share their experiences with either or both of these associate programs please. We live bang in between both so would have to travel 1 hour each week to either. Don't know whether my dd (age 10) should just audition for both and see what the outcome is but it would be interesting to hear about them first from those who already go.

Is anyone attending the RAD swan lake workshop on Sunday? my dd is attending and I was just wondering if The Dance space studio at Bawtry is easy to find?

Can anybody tell me where I can find out about Hammonds associate training please, I can't seem to find it on the website.

My 9 yr old dd did one at York, it was sleeping beauty and she really enjoyed, she said she would definitely do another. Don't think it was challenging but it was fun to do.
