Jan McNulty
Oh, I hadn't looked at the website - it contains more detail than the email I got.
capybara
I find it odd not to have received an e-Mail. But I am far more tempted to attend such an event online than I would be in the flesh. It’s a great idea.
Sim
It's a great idea and sounds like it will be fab (I would LOVE to hear what Tony Iommi has to say!!)...but sadly out of my budget right now and I think that will be the same for many fans. Odyssey
Yes, I hadn’t received any communication about this. Well done to the resourceful team in putting this together. Hope there will be further stimulating opportunities for all budgets to support BRB in the future .
alison
Of course, there is a Donate button on the BRB website for anyone who wants to support them. I was looking for it last night when I found details of the gala. And excuse my ignorance, but who's Tony Iommi?

The guitarist from Black Sabbath (known for being brilliant despite missing the top of one finger) who are from Birmingham.
San Perregrino
Perhaps a little off-topic but its a fund-raiser for BRB community programmes. As such I have my fingers crossed that BRB and it’s outreach programmes will have a major part in Opening & Closing ceremonies for Commonwealth Games 2022.
