Lynette H
Don't miss this. It's really charming, really well put together and no spare fat on it at an hour's running time. The little boy with the football is brilliant. Available till midnight on Christmas Eve.
alison
Indeed. I've just finished watching it, and it looks stunningly good. Selections largely from the company's The Snow Queen and Peter Darrell's The Nutcracker, but put together to make a coherent - and charming - story, and with an interesting and non-traditional gender role reversal at the end Just don't expect it to be a traditionally-filmed ballet. It's free to watch, although they - and their partner theatres - would very much appreciate a donation.
toursenlair
I found this delightful and was moved to make a donation. Well worth it.
San Perregrino
Much to enjoy in a production that fires the imagination combining the joy of dance and richness of theatre to create an original narrative of a boy discovering a world of colour and excitement in contrast with the grey world outside. (NB Given the links currently being made in football about dementia and heading a football, having the boy head the ball repeatedly as a part of his “trick routine” may not have been a wise choice.)
alison
Yes, that was my immediate thought, too. I suspect by now that all footballing boys of his age will have been told not to do that any more. I certainly hope so.
Mandy Kent
Completely charming throughout. Highly recommended. It brought some much needed Christmas cheer. Thank you Chris Hampson, Lez Brotherston and all the dancers, musicians and production crew. ps did anyone notice that the snow wolves shaggy trousers were VERY similar to the shaggy Swan Lake trews worn by the male Swans in Matthew Bourne’s Swan Lake. Aha.. thank you Lez Brotherston for your brilliant designs 😍
glowlight
My DD and I are planning to watch this simultaneously from opposite ends of the country tomorrow. Tech permitting

glowlight
Really enjoyed The Secret Theatre. A very refreshing way to get a bit of a Nutcracker fix in time for Christmas.
