  1. Amazing idea. They will do quite a few of things to get tix to sell so I can’t see why not. What a comeback.
  2. I believe the production is already in their repertoire so that makes it very easy.
  3. Quite sad that some of the choreography and staging was stolen from him for this production, as he wasn’t able to complete his own production. I’m not surprised but disappointed.
  4. Her final performance is Saturday the 17th of June, 7:30 In Anastasia Act III as part of triple bill, New Wayne McGregor/ Corybantic Games/ Anastasia Act III. Though technically her Final performance is on their Japan Tour, Sunday June 25th 1:00 at the Tokyo Bunka Kaikan. Performing in A Month in the Country, alongside Vadim Muntagirov as part of the “A Royal Celebration” gala.
  5. I don’t know if harsh is the right word but I don’t know what else I’d use.
  6. Bit confused by that, but it’s not like they aren’t going to not do the production they spent millions on, they might just try to hide the name Liam Scarlett and just call it: Swan Lake.
  7. Romeo and Juliet is more harsh and emotional. Cinderella, still harsh is more magical and mysterious.
  8. Sounds about right, I wonder if Lauren will be back, if she won’t I’d give Osipova more shows, or Lamb, Hayward, O’Sullivan or Gasparini
  9. If anyone wants to do the math: Find other RB shows that have a similar amount of shows in a similar time period and then they could theoretically tell us how many Kitris there would be.
  10. 11. Sorry they aren’t that similar, again my lack of re-reading sabotages me. But they do share some similarities.
  12. Agreed they more suit a British, French or even Russian Ballet. Not this fiery explosive style. They can still do it, and pretty well they can too.
  13. I’m glad that there’s (presumably) no bad blood but I wish Someone put Cranko as Original Choreographer in the credits for Macmillan’s or something, because I’ve seen both and they are very similar.
  14. If anyone wants the dates of the rest of The Royal Ballets performances I can post them.
  15. Yep BRB just posted about it on Instagram. 18 to 21 Oct, Sadlers Wells. Booking for BRB supporters opens on the 15th of May and general public on the 22nd.
  16. Interesting about worldwide, I assume they will book things in once they know that it’s a hit in the uk. I guess they will take it to New York?
  17. Interesting news from the 2023/24 press release: This is on top of wider digital innovation as we make available 24 more productions on ROH Stream. These will include work from Wayne McGregor, and Joseph Toonga's See Us, as well as The Royal Ballet’s new production of Cinderella. These will be supported by a raft of new behind-the-scenes films, interviews and performances, including a celebration of Antonio Pappano's tenure as Music Director of The Royal Opera; a host of choreographic and vocal masterclasses; and exclusive World Ballet Day content, with rehearsals and insights from across its rich ten-year history.

  19. I think it’s safe the assume that all the money for new Main Stage Productions has gone to the Royal Opera. New Das Rheingold New Carmen New Jephtah New Elektra And no new Main Stage work for the Royal Ballet. Hopefully the tables turn the season after next.
