  1. Like it’s a good Start but a small Range of companies in Europe and No Asia, Oceania, Americas?
  2. Yeah it isn’t very international. I wish they did a single show on the main stage and brought some big companies.
  3. I wonder if they will do a The Dream/ Marguerite and Armand/ Les Patineurs bill, would taht be too long, I don’t think so. They did a The Dream/ Marguerite and Armand/ Symphonic Variations in 2017
  4. Wished they added some archive? I don’t know why the can’t do it. The existing section is not great.
  5. I don’t know why San Francisco would bring it into their repertoire but it’s a possibility. I thought it was great (much better than Ashton’s dated version) Though Jerome Kaplans designs aren’t for everyone (I love them, especially his signature wigs with the curls at the front) I’ll elaborate later on the problems with the Sydney opera house because that’s it’s own story.
  6. Yeah That’s why I said Borrow (and never bring back) I still think it’s unfair for the companies that invited and nurtured them but they can do what ever they want (with a little or a lot of bribery)
  7. Maybe the Royal Ballet might borrow (and never bring back) some dancers, like they’ve done with Muntagirov (English National Ballet) Campbell (BRB) Opisova (Some company honestly I forgot) and many more… But it’s pretty smart on The Royal Ballets part.
  8. I don’t think it will because it is a co production and it makes it way harder to stop performing it. I’m so glad they did a March season in Houston and did a Melbourne in August-September and A Sydney in November all in the same year, that’s one good shipping crate. I wonder if Butterfly will be dived for it’s 30th Anniversary in Australia and or Houston.
  9. Ha excuse me What I say makes no sense. Oh I thought Ross told him to program La Fille Mal Gardée because he wanted it done and was pressuring him. I thought David Always hated La Fille Mal Gardée because he Programmed it once (presumably pressured by Ross) But I’m pretty sure I’m incorrect. Obviously they were going to milk everything they can get out of Graeme Murphys Swan Lake, Just like Tchaikovsky but it still is pretty uninspired programming. Yeah Raymonda was very stylised and Is quite Forgettable, I don’t see them programming it ever again and maybe Reviving Rudolf Nureyev’ 1966? Raymonda. I 100% agree with your last statement, I just hope they don’t do that With Stanton Welch’s Sylvia and The Happy Prince (which not Melbourne or Sydney, not even Adelaide has seen yet)
  10. Thank You for this, I don’t really keep up that’s much with NDT so this was interning to hear, I wonder if this means they will do an except say Crystal Pites section of kunstkamer in The 60th Anniversary Gala.
  11. Thank you, I feel it was very rude of Ross to say that but I assume David Gave in and did it anyway to please him (even though he had left RB by then) David’s Programming had swan Lale every year, either touring Australia or the world. Like I know it was a hit but I wished the calmed down. Very Glad he brought A Calaaoval version of The Nutcracker. But I question some of his programming (Stephen Baynes Raymonda?)
  12. Now that would make a lot of sense, apparently NDT had plans to bring it to London but then covid happened, so maybe the have rescheduled it and Australia can’t perform it.
  13. They are first performing it this year in Their (delayed) 60th Anniversary Season, At the Sydney Opera House in May and Melbourne in June-July (There’s less than a month for them to ship the costumes and sets but they might skip out on the sets) I wish they told us why this has changed.
  14. Lithuanian National ballet just had it on, So don’t know if it’s the same sets and costumes but we can assume they are, they are performing it again in December So they will probably keep the sets and costumes in between seasons.
  15. I will say when Jewels was announced I checked the website and the tour had a new sponsor that wasn’t there before… Maybe The Times had something to do with it… A bit suspicious to me.
  16. Here are my thoughts on Cinderella. Fredrick Ashton’s Cinderella was premiered 75 years ago, but we are using complete new designs made this year, sets with materials and concepts that weren’t imaginable 75 years ago, same with the costumes. Projections that have only been widely used in Theatre for Less than 30 years, these designs are new, but the production isn’t, they can’t change anything. I don’t see why the don’t use the original designs, they may be dated but Fredrick Ashton approved them, probably made changes of the choreography to cater for them but they can’t do that here, It’s a grey area and I hope that they realise that not everything needs to be redone.
  17. I saw kunstakmer, Thought it was okay, especially Crystal Pite’s bit but what I will say, It was explosive, Genre pushing and Wild, Jewels is great but it isn’t any of those things.
  18. Enough Graeme Murphy to Revive Ross Stretton. David’s programming 2016 and on was wonderful, everything before that 😐 But he never did La Fille Mal Gardée (We can asumme 2004 was scheduled by Ross and they had everything all ready so the kept it on) No Romeo and Juliet except Graeme Murphys which was performed in one season and never revived again. Songs of A Wayfarer is a beautiful piece, I wish it was performed a lot more.
  19. I don’t know how Cathy Marston is doing it but I‘m very impressed.
  20. The site for jewels is already up, this has been weeks in the planning… https://www.roh.org.uk/tickets-and-events/jewels-by-the-australian-ballet-details Kunstkamer is nowhere to be found. Maybe the board is (already) fed up with David Hallberg’s Programming.
  21. That’s quite shocking! They announced this on Easter Thursday to make sure not many people know about it so no wants to get a refund. I feel like George Balanchine’s ✨ JEWELS ✨ Is a better seller than 💀 Kunstkamer 💀 They performed Kunstkamer last year so they would have to re rehearse it, Where as Jewles is being performed this year. Maybe the critics in London wouldn’t like Kunstakmer, or They lost the rights or there’s still controversy around Marco Gekoe.
  22. My Wish list would be: Swan Lake Onegin La Fille Mal Gardée!?!? Alices Adventures in Wonderland La Bayadere The Cellist would be great Jewels Don Quixote Marguerite and Armand No nutcracker (that’s definitely not happening)
