  1. If the past seasons are anything to go by The 23/24 Season Should have just been announced (8:00am London Time and The First Wednesday of April) I wonder if we will see it later today, this week, or in the coming weeks, Someone said that according to the box office it would be announced on April 26 (3 weeks later than It usually is) Does anyone have any more info?
  2. That’s does not add up, The Dream that’s one of the most family friendly and least offensive, it’s magical and a fairytale story and doesn’t have a princes that needs to find love, it’s perfect!
  3. I agree even though most people can handle it, I think it’s still alarming and distasteful for some of those people that can handle it, but again if they really don’t like it, just don’t go and see it.
  4. One person! They should ask the community, and I’ll say it again, get a cultural consultant. Shades would work well in a good Russian classic triple Maybe with Raymonda Act III and something else.
  5. Interesting… Thanks for this! They better not get rid of Yolanda Sonnabends Designs!
  6. Now that’s really getting into character, Akane is an amazing dancer and actress.
  7. That’s More like it, I’m not great at reading websites then option 1, or option none! Thank you for sharing this!
  8. I’m glad that these ballets depict real situations unlike your sleeping beauty, and real situations aren’t filtered, I admire them from afar. Thank you for your insight.
  9. I have had the opportunity to watch Judas Tree and turned it down, will never know if Carlos, Leanne where good in it (I asumme they were) I see that these works are a rarity but even though I (and some others) most likely dislike them they should still be programmed.
  10. That’s fair, It’s not that bad all things considered but it’s definitely not good, I’m glad we are past it on the MacMillan rotation. (Until approximately 2025/26
  11. I hope so, It’s a Russian Classic and a staple of the ballet repertoire. They can’t really not perform it.
  12. Ok maybe I’m over exaggerating, but I think it should be toned down, Strongly warned.
  13. I’m please to hear, I feel most People that have their culture featured in La Bayadere would be okay with it, But we can assume It’s the Royal Ballet executives that think this is inappropriate, not properly representing the culture and possibly racist. They should get a Cultural Consultant as a permanent position at the Royal Opera House.
  14. To be honest I don’t know but I believe that The High Jumps and finger movements could be racist (not that I have asked an Indian)
  15. La Fille Mal Gardée it’s been so long, I hope to see you again! If Anastasia Act 3 was 22/23 does that mean we could see it again or does it mean a revival would have nothing to do act 3 this season?
  16. Phew! But should lot have it been retired already, why another run?
  17. I completely agree, I’m glad they change a bit of the nutcracker, choreography which was made by Russian interpretations of other countries is so stupid to me. La Bayadere isn’t any better but If they cut Bronze idol and made the production a better Indian representation of India Then I think it would be fine. I won’t even get into Turnadot. I haven’t seen Maddaddam and won’t see it but from what I’ve heard it’s pretty bad but Isn’t that the Margret Aatwood Style? Because it’s “MoDeRn DaNcE” it should be more appropriate to keep up with todays culture. They can’t change anything because the choreographers still alive. Manon made me a bit uncomfortable but Mayerling Should be banned, It’s wildly horrific.
  18. Yep, It’s usually announced around The 5th of April and on a Wednesday Yasmine in Sylvia would be amazing, To be honest (don’t hate on me) I think Ashton’s Sylvia Isn’t as timeless as some of his other works but that’s doesn’t mean I don’t want a revival. The Dream was a while ago so I could see that being the Ashton Bill probably with Marguerite and Armand Alice and Winters Tale I believe are on the cards, Wheeldon is a big seller and they could just program Tchaikovsky, Alice and Maybe Giselle and they wouldn’t need to make another follow in their life (Please, Please don’t do that) But I would assume Swan Lake because every second Year. Those ones are his biggest names, they will sell and They don’t want to change up his programming because that’s what works Serenade is a gem, would love them to do it, Which could be paired With Afternoon of a faun and Yugen. Also I would love to hear your thoughts on Liam Scarlett’s Swan Lake. Well I was supposed that’s Cindy Was in the National Ballet of Canadas 23/24 Season (as they are the co producers) But I don’t see them Doing a revival this soon, It might be toured (probably to Japan knowing RB) and then in Canada before London again. If the had a Crystal Pite in every program I would still be happy, But I don’t really see them doing a De Valois Program Because It probably won’t sell. If it’s Le Noces & Les Biches 100 year anniversary I could see them doing something with like 3, 4 shows.
  19. When is Yuhui Getting promoted? I don’t even know at this point? Also Claire?
  20. I hope and pray for Onegin, For every company every year, It’s magical, Royal Ballet last did it in 2019/20 (one of their best seasons to date in my opinion) and do it usually every 5 years, Hopefully this season but most likely 24/25
  21. Alice is a great seller, The National Ballet of Canada has The production in March 2024, They could ship it in approximately 4 months so maybe A October, December Season?
  22. Thank you for the welcome! I believe BRB’s Don Q was Carlos Acosta's RB production (with maybe a few changes) and different sets and costumes, By The same designer by the Royal Ballet production. BRB’s Is being performed by the National ballet of Canada in 2024. I’m interested to see if Royal Will revive.
