  1. Already a video on ROH’s YouTube Channel about why The Royal Ballet thinks The Sleeping Beauty is a classic.
  2. Do you mean the recording they are using was from last week or it was additional footage or footage in case tonight’s performance was canceled or something?
  3. I think it would have to be live? On the website it says: The Sleeping Beauty, Live: Wednesday 24 May.
  4. I didn’t see that coming… especially this close to the show! But I’m always happy for more Yasmine.
  5. I could only assume Roh and Burberry want to make “headlines” or maybe Burberry wants their “fashion” to enter into the theatre world? One could only guess, but I don’t think that Roh would be paying big money.
  6. Running Time 2 hours 15 minutes (including two 20 minute intervals) Thursday 7 March 2:30 Thursday 7 March 7:30 Friday 8 March 7:30 Saturday 9 March 2:30 Saturday 9 March 7:30 Sunday 10 March 2:00 Rotunda Justin Peck’s Rotunda, featuring a commissioned score from acclaimed American composer Nico Muhly, creates an overarching sense of community through punctuated mirroring and ensemble groupings, inspiring reflection, delight, and intrigue. Duo Concertant An animated dance for a neoclassical couple, the dancers periodically stop and listen to the onstage musicians before ending with a poignant scene in a pool of light on a dark stage. Based on the composition by Igor Stravinsky, George Balanchine premiered Duo Concertant at NYCB’s Stravinsky Festival in 1972. Gustave Le Gray No.1 Set to Caroline Shaw’s piano composition “Gustave Le Gray”, four dancers in flowing, vibrant red costumes repeat sharp yet sweeping phrases and interact with the onstage pianist, who continues to play even as they move the grand piano and musician from one side of the stage to the other. Love Letter (on shuffle) Kyle Abraham reunites the pop stylings of singer, songwriter, and producer James Blake and eye-catching costume designs by Giles Deacon, inspiring the NYCB dancers to new physical and emotional heights in a mashup of phenomenal classical feats and contemporary swagger.
  7. Is it this link? https://www.sadlerswells.com/whats-on/new-york-city-ballet/
  8. Has it been deleted? (Why it could be called “trashed”) It’s says page not found for me.
  9. The fact that she danced the title role of Cinderella over 10 years ago but still isn’t a principal is crazy to me.
  10. I guess its motorised or something because I don’t know how they would pull the huge carriage? (Even if It’s presumably light).
  11. Oh well then no. Thanks for correcting me. I’m not great at this.
  12. Via Instagram: Pre-orders can now be placed with the ROH shop. Please see the link in my bio. Other retailers should also have the book online for pre-order shortly.
  13. Yes, but this conversation was about if he wanted it changed.
  14. I don’t know how they would fit the full thing on this tiny area? I know it’s a bit more than 2 letters but would (at least Roh) oversimplify it, they should keeps the same format, right?
  15. That’s one good thing. It would be easy because all you would have to change is 2 letters.
  16. Is it not a sell, or is this the usual for BRB performances?
  17. I wonder when Canada will get it? It’s not scheduled for National Ballet of Canada’s 23/24 season. I would assume Royal Ballet will tour it or revive it before they ship it over.
  18. Did not see this coming… but I might have to pick it up. Also I hope the Instagram picture is not the cover. Interested to hear more.
  19. If only I could’ve got to Canada last June to see Karen Kain’s Swan Lake. Canada only haves: Alice’s Adventures In Wonderland and Don Quixote in their 23/24 season so maybe Hope Muir wants them to spread out more.
