  1. I’m still waiting for this day too. seems unfair they start releasing results and then take a break for the rest of the week of not giving results to those still waiting. I think London year 7 from Sunday 26th jan and Birmingham 30th still waiting. I’ve decided I think it will be next week! 😩
  2. Congratulations to those that have made it to finals! Seems to have been a break in results now I believe London from 26th jan and Birmingham still haven’t heard yet! Wonder how long it tends to be for those last auditions to get results. I’m thinking won’t be before next week.
  3. Congratulations to those that have made it to finals! Think just Birmingham’s to come out now good luck to those still waiting
  4. Do you k is of London ones that have results? Is that from Sunday 26th?
  5. Have any more results regarding WL come out yet, manchester?? presume we will be a while yet as we were Birmingham on Friday
  6. I know someone that had a no about an hour ago. And also last year a friend of ours found out 3 hours before us they got ano and we had a yes. so you just don’t know!
  7. I think pattern same as last year! Here was nothing Friday and then nothing Monday boys came out Tuesday (possibly year 6) and my DD email came on the Wednesday for year 4 place and she auditioned last day. My email came around 5pm but they had started earlier in the day cos someone I knew got theirs at 2pm and I was still waiting
  8. There was definitely a wait last year of no results! Waiting over the weeken! And then boys came out first and my DD was applying for year 4 place and had to wait another day after the boys! I didn’t get my email until 5pm!
  9. My DD currently in a mixed year4/5 group in London. And they do 2 and 1/4 hours. I think it’s mainly ballet and they were asked this year to not bring character shoes as they wouldn’t be needed, although they do use character skirts and do partner work with the boys.
  10. Hi, My daughter audition for Royal junior associates London last year for year 4 place. At that point sshe was doing 14 hours of gym a week. 4 days and the rest of the days of the week she did dance. My DD got offered a place at royal ballet and is enjoying it. So is possible to do both. It’s true gym will be detrimental to her ballet but I would say that starts to happen more around 11. I presume she does artistic gymnastics? Some other forms of gym like rhythmic which Encorporate dance can compliment but not artistic as it builds up wrong muscle groups for ballet. Posture an issue too. My DD Ahmad just given up gymnastics but not because she wanted to, but because her coaches left her gym and then it also meant her having to increase to 6 days a week which we couldn’t do alongside dance! I’d say keep up it’s as long as you can if that’s what she would like to do. It didn’t affect my DD getting into royal ballet school, she does however have a very slim build with long limbs as oppose to a lot of gymnasts with shorter limbs. Hope that helped?
  11. Last year I remember thinking it was only London left so it should be the following day and ended up waiting until over the weekend, then thought right has to be Monday and the boys for London came out and not the girls! They were put out a different day! It was agonising!
  12. You can call them and they let you know why it was a No this time. They write notes on them all, a friend of ours called last year and they let her know the reason.
  13. My DD auditioned last year for London year 4 place, she was accepted but we didn’t have attachment to email. we also didn’t get the email until nearly 5pm! Hope the wait isn’t too much longer for everyone!!
  14. What is their reaction when you say you are missing due to festivals? I’m presuming even if they were understanding they probably wouldn’t allow it more than twice in the year? Good to hear similar experiences Which centre do they attend? X
  15. It will be more come towards the ending of the year, with it being an all England final qualifying year
  16. How did they take this when you told them that he would be missing classes due to competitions? Doyou mind me asking which centre of associates he was a part of?
  17. Thanks for all your responses! Appreciated. I guess Inwas just unsure if how Royal will take it if I say she’s missing due to a festival. So far we’ve missed the festivals but there may be some that are harder to get out of and that results in her missing class. but just wasn’t sure of what they their reaction at Royal would be.
  18. Hi, does anyone have a child that is currently a Junior associate that also does dance festivals? Just wondered how you find it and whether you have spoken to RBS about it? From what I understand its kind of looked down on to do the festivals, so I presume it's not a good enough reason to miss any sessions. So far my dd has put royal over festivals and hasn't missed any sessions, however becoming increasingly difficult when she is now in groups and has duet partners etc, Any advice or similar experience?

  20. Thanks so much for that information! In my daughter's class it's mixed of year4/5 and altogether there were 8 girls. Such a small number!! Appreciate you taking the time to answer my previous post x
  21. Hi, just wondered if anyone knew how many auditioned and how many places were Available or given this year for year 4 (or year4/5) London associates? Her school want to do a write up about my daughter getting a year 4 place and asked me these questions to which I didn't know and not sure if any way of finding out?
  22. Hi my DD just been accepted as a RBS Junior associate in london. She will be going into year 4 and I opted for 24 sessions. Does anyone know times of those classes?
  23. Anyone got any idea what time classes are for year 4's in london? My dd has classes in a sat afternoon just wondering whether could still make it work to do both!
  24. Hi everyone, just thought I'd reiterate what had always been said, in terms of disappointment with no's remember your DS Or DD were not determined by the ja's before audition and are not now afterwards. So keep them doing what they enjoy and would always encourage if they really want to try again to certainly go for it, as I know people who have had no and then yes next year. I was shocked and very fortunate for my DD auditioning for the first time this year in london which I hear is the most competitive and getting a yes for a year 4 place. We are very grateful, but knowing how hard competition is we honestly weren't expecting to get in.
