  8. Does anyone know of any?
  9. a mobile phone advertisement with Alban Lendorf of the Royal Danish Ballet. http://youtu.be/6TMVuU8ldDs
  10. I know they're not listed under Medvirkende; I found them on the home page of the site. Google translate will only translate what you feed into it, and I fed it the home page (oh, and the picnic menu!). annamicro can no doubt find out what the facts of the matter are. I just wanted to alert people to the fact there were RB dancers performing in Denmark in July; I didn't think it would be this complicated.
  11. It says so on the home page of verdensballet but it's in Danish, so Google translate probably let me down. You most certainly know better than I. Perhaps they will only be there for the Skagen performances.
  12. There are a series of open air performances in Denmark in July, featuring the following dancers: Johan Kobborg, Alina Cojocaru, Steven Mcrae, Roberta Marquez, Federico Bonelli, Hikaru Kobayashi, Thomas Whitehead, Francesca Hayward, Marcelino Sambe. 13. Yet more programming changes for SFB in Paris: http://toursenlair.blogspot.ca/2014/05/update-san-francisco-ballet-in-paris.html
  14. Not to mention sitting at your desk watching ballet for 45 minutes!
  15. This won't help the original poster who was asking specifically about this summer in London, but I also post a master calendar for major companies in Europe and North America to my website: http://toursenlair.blogspot.com/p/whats-on-in-ballet.html I haven't updated it for summer 2014, but the fall 2014-15 one will be going up shortly (just waiting for some companies to announce their seasons).
  16. I'm always amused to see what cheery ballets the Stuttgart Ballet schedules for Christmas. This year: MacMillan's Song of the Earth and Requiem. Meanwhile, it's radical for a North American company to schedule La Fille mal Gardee instead of Nutcracker!
  17. too bad, I'll just miss you. I'm there May 29-June 2
  18. SFB has made some programming changes to its Paris performances this July: http://toursenlair.blogspot.com/2014/05/update-san-francisco-ballet-in-paris.html
  19. ...continuing that Canadian conspiracy to dominate the ballet world....
  20. The stage door for the Koch theatre is on the east side of the theatre, at the corner of Columbus and 62nd, down a flight of steps. I have waited there many times (both at the top of the stairs and in the actual stage door lobby), and I have never felt unsafe around Lincoln Center at night. It is very well lit and there are always people going by.
  21. I believe Enigma Variations is on Iain Webb's wish list for his company. I was very impressed with the standard of dancing in the company. The women are stronger than the men, though. In any case, Sarasota is well worth visiting, and even if you are somewhere else in Florida I would say it's worth a trip to Sarasota if the ballet is on. And if they do another Ashton festival, it's worth a trip from much farther away.
  22. I've posted an account of Sir Peter Wright's talk. He is truly amazing for an 88-year-old! I was very lucky to have a chat with him by myself over lunch as well. http://toursenlair.blogspot.ca/2014/05/sarasota-ballet-ashton-festival-day-3.html
