alison
Thanks for that, Bluebird. Does anyone happen to know how long the running time is (or can anyone make an educated guess?). I've had problems getting back from High Wycombe in the evenings in the past because the train times are a bit erratic, and if I go for the matinee I need to be back in time for a 7.30 start at the ROH. Birmingham-based balletgoers of course also have a direct rail service ...
aileen
I'm hoping to see one of these performances. Does anyone know who the solo woman dancing in the Lang piece in the promotional photographs is?
Jan McNulty
I've just looked at the Wycombe Swan website. The dancer in the photograph is Yvette Knight. She was wonderful in this last night in Cheltenham! She is one of the dancers on whom the work was created last year.

Jan McNulty
Just to let everyone know that the performance with a 1930 start finishes around 2150. It's a very enjoyable programme.
alison
Thanks, Janet. So 2 hrs 20 or thereabouts. Contrary to Bluebird's initial post, the theatre website is showing the matinee as starting at 2.30.
along for the ride mum
I was really fancying going to this tomorrow bit havent found anyonewho wants to go with me, not sure i fancy the hour and a quater drive home on my own. Is it 1) worth a not too pleasant journey home 2) suitable for 11yr old dd?
Jan McNulty
Well, it's definitely suitable and I'm sure children particularly love Pineapple Poll - it's such good fun! Lyric Pieces is an abstract work to piano music by Grieg - very elegant with some humour and great use of concertina style paper props. The bite-sized pieces are just that!
