nycitybird
I might be going to Italy in late May/early June and I'd love to go to a ballet when I'm there. The only company I know is La Scala and they don't have anything on at that time. Does anyone know any other companies worth seeing in northern Italy or as far south as Florence? Thanks ☺
toursenlair
Milan's school performance is on June 5th. otherwise Italy is a bit of a ballet wasteland

meadowblythe
My son has just been offered an apprentice place with Balleto di Sienna, based in Rome, so if you track them down, may see you there!
Don Q Fan
SBF thanks for that info I'd like to see that Swan Lake...which cast do you recommend? Edited February 16, 2016 by Don Q Fan
Jan McNulty
Viktorina Kapitonova (who danced the premiere) has tweeted that all 14 scheduled performances are sold out and that one extra performance has been slotted in. I suppose you could try for returns.
nycitybird
Thanks for the replies. The Swan Lake does sound good but doesn't fit in with my dates (and is sold out!) But that's made me think a future trip to Zurich could be in order.

If you're interested in the ballet more than the company, the La Scala ballet is dancing it in Paris in November: http://www.viparis.com/viparisFront/do/manifestation/palais-des-congres-paris/LAC+CYGNES+-+SCALA+MILAN=12927. Tickets are still available.
