  2. SCS D14 (standing) - face value £10 needs re-homing. Casting, (if the same as 9 Feb): Juliet: Hamilton Romeo: Hirano Mercutio: Serrano Benvolio: Donnelly Paris: Clarke please leave a message and & PM me if you want this ticket. thanks Peter
  3. Given that cast sheets go up mostly on the day, that’s a very early cast for a performance still over a week away. I could only find it by following your link, not on the website. Subject to change I’d suggest.
  4. And, to add to the above, whilst they all learn the same choreography, within a company no two dancers are the same. each is unique, and additionally each live performance by the same dancer is unique. which is why I can go to multiple performances of the same production. there would be no pointe (if you’ll excuse the pun) for me in seeing something repeatedly if it was the same thing over and over again. I celebrate every dancer for who they are, rather than bemoan who they are not. compare and despair
  5. Cast changes announced for Saturday in Southampton. It’s going to be a long day for Lachlan Monaghan but a bonus for his fans, including me 😃
  6. not sure if it's the right place to post this, mods please move if you want to: if you're planning to attend the final performances of R&J, Swan Lake on March 5th or the opera, i just received this from Southern Rail: "We wanted to let you know that there will be no trains this weekend (Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 February) between Three Bridges and Brighton / Lewes due to engineering work taking place. There will also be no trains for nine days from Saturday 19 to Sunday 27 February, when further work will take place." What dates are affected? Saturday 12 – Sunday 13 February 2022 Saturday 19 – Sunday 27 February 2022 (9-day blockade, including weekdays) Saturday 5 – Sunday 6 March 2022 Sunday 3 April 2022 Please note services on the Brighton Main Line may be affected outside of these dates for other engineering work and the current reduced timetable. We ask you to plan and re-check before you travel. What does this mean for my journey? There will be changes to train services across the Southern and Thameslink networks and significantly longer journey times for some passengers, so please allow extra time if travelling on these dates. While the work takes place, a train service will run between Brighton and London Victoria in both directions, using a diverted route via Littlehampton and Horsham. If you are travelling between Brighton or Hove and London, you can use this direct train service to avoid the need to change between buses and trains at Three Bridges. On all dates, replacement buses will be running across the closed sections of line to help you complete your journeys.
  7. SCS D16 - face value £10 needs re-homing. Magri/Richardson debuts please leave a message and & PM me if you want this ticket. thanks Peter
  8. Where can I find Alex Beards email address? It’s not on the website thanks
  9. severe disappointment. once again, a world class organisation is once again a laughing stock.
  10. I did wonder if there’s some recycling of the guests during the entrance scene with the masks allowing dancers to double up but have never counted.
  11. Here’s a question that has probably been discussed on the forum before I joined but I can’t find anything relating to it? ””Why are only some guests at the Ball masked…..?”
  12. I’m sorry to read other people’s experience is not the same as mine. In respect of tickets I have needed to return I have experienced no problems and no unreasonable delays. In respect of the Nutcracker performances cancelled by the ROH over the festive season, I didn’t act immediately on the email I received. That said, I received notification of my credit vouchers and refund a couple of days ago. Perhaps not within the 10 days aimed at by the ROH, but not too long beyond that. These are still difficult times both for patrons and for the ROH and I find a little patience pays dividends for my blood pressure & my sanity. I have witnessed how hard-working the box office staff are each time I attend a performance. In between dealing with patrons face to face, the box office staff are processing email enquiries including returns and refunds on their computers.
  13. in my experience, if you follow the instructions on the ROH website relating to returns & refunds, it will be dealt with in a timely manner. an excerpt from that page states that: Refund, exchange or offer tickets for resale We cannot exchange tickets to another ROH production or give refunds. Up to 24 hours before the performance, you can exchange tickets for a gift certificate. You will be charged an administrative fee of £4 per ticket. If it is less than 24 hours before the performance, you can offer your tickets for resale through the ROH Box Office. You will be charged an administrative fee of £4 per ticket. All requests must be emailed to Box Office. Please read our Terms and Conditions of sale. Box Office boxoffice@roh.org.uk the most important sentence to note in the above excerpt is: "All requests must be emailed to Box Office". phoning is no longer an option for the general public unless you have special circumstances. e.g. i emailed yesterday morning (4th January) in respect of a ticket return for this evening (5th January). i find it helps to put the subject, name of the performance, date of performance and order number in the email title, repeating this with further information in the body of the email since emails relating to returns are dealt with in order of performance date . i immediately received an auto-response advising me that request received and 24 hours later I received my credit voucher. the system works if you follow it. in respect of cancellations due to Covid, there is an additional paragraph: COVID-19 refunds or exchanges Performances continue to be affected by COVID-19 and latest government guidance. If you have tickets for a performance that is cancelled or postponed, we will contact you to offer you a refund or exchange. We stand by our 'Book with Confidence, Exchange with Ease' pledge, as we know how important it is in current times. If you have COVID-19 symptoms, have been told to self-isolate or tested positive for COVID-19, please do not come to the theatre. Email the Box Office as soon as possible but no later than the start of the performance and we will exchange your ticket for a gift certificate. Please note that you may not receive an exchange confirmation before the performance start time, but be assured your request will be processed within seven working days. Check our Terms and Conditions of sale. Box Office boxoffice@roh.org.uk
  14. These are the current Birmingham Hippodrome Don Q prices. It will be interesting to see how Sadlers Wells is priced.
  15. Just adding ‘column inches’ to this thread so the page turns over as soon as possible. It is very disconcerting if not downright disturbing to see Mr Blobby when I want to read about R&J!
  16. Good question. For starters, one would hope that BRB will be a part of the Opening &/or Closing Ceremonies (28/7 & 8/8) for Birmingham 2022, the XXII Commonwealth Games. A great opportunity to raise its global profile. Similarly, with so many potential incoming visitors, it would be a fantastic time to stage performances in the City. A festival of BRB jewels.
  17. I now have one, possibly both, of SCS D30 & D46 for Saturday 5th February which need rehoming. Face value £10. I will return to the Box Office on Friday morning if no takers.
  18. LOL me neither as a regular ticket choice (see next para). I thought that was a given amongst standees 😀🤷🏻‍♂️but I accept that other forum members are less knowledgeable. That said, d50 is ok. Also to say “NEVER” is an absolute that doesn’t allow flexibility according to circumstances. For example, in the past, if I already know a ballet, when a performance that I have been desperate to see is sold out, I have accepted d1-4 & d51-54, and the limitations of a restricted view, as way of getting to attend. One is very close to the action that one can see and the detail can be breathtaking in such proximity. My brain fills in the missing parts. Cup half full so to speak. Also with good karma, once in the building, anything can happen. For Saturday 5th February, I actually have 2 good SCS tickets both between d29 & d47 and at the time of posting one is reserved but the choice as to which is unconfirmed. Hence my vagueness.
  19. I have 1 x SCS RB Romeo and Juliet: Saturday 5th February 2022, 7.30pm (current casting Naghdi/Ball) that needs to be re-homed. Face value £10. please leave a message here & direct message me if interested. thanks Peter
  20. There is no R&J on Feb 12th. Do you mean 5th or 19th perhaps? Whichever date, there will be Friday rush available though there may be a ticket limit so you will need to check the ROH website and plan accordingly.
  21. “Details of Bonelli’s final performance with The Royal Ballet will be announced in due course.” As currently published his farewell R&J is tomorrow 1st February, his only public SwanLake is March 4th (his March 19th Swan Lake is a Welcome performance), and his only Month in the Country is April 30th. So, perhaps there will be additional shows added to those already on the ROH website, or current castings may get juggled. (The Welcome performance being the obvious one).
