Seeing Alina and Matthew in Bath (I’ll enjoy it even more if there’s a train home!), Alina in La Strada, ENB’s Giselle and a return to my first ballet experience, Swan Lake at the Albert Hall, sadly not in a seat as good as the performance cancelled by Covid

Thanks @Rob S! Don't know if quoting an old reply is allowed but just to illustrate what I meant, it was the photo from this 11 Dec 2021 post you made
Oh sorry, I've just seen I posted from the wrong year although that now highlights the clear meddling with the medal over the last couple of years

We have a beautiful picture taken by @Rob Sfrom the 2021-22 RB Nutcracker season curtain calls when Ashley was Clara to Benjamin's Hans-Peter and holding hands as per their roles. 😀 I don't know how to bring the photo across; am not even sure if I can, but if members look in the photo galleries here compiled by @zxDaveM or browse through last last year's Nutcracker thread, you'll see it. Very sweet.
Congratulations to Ashley and Benjamin and look forward to seeing them dance again!
I don't know which one you were refering to but here's one from three different performances I saw

The exit lift and the red run differ depending on who is dancing.
Indeed, Harry Churches seems to favour the safer but still pleasing looking hip hold, while last year Olivia Cowley came on and off perched on Nicol Edmonds' shoulder

Yes, I know, which is why I pointed out that the change has come now that she is married!
Oh ok, I was talking about you asking if she'd called herself Ella for a year

So she has been referring to herself as 'Ella' for more than a year? I didn't realise that!
You can change the name of the account at any time so she won't have set that name up a year ago, she also has her art account too

I love the Arabian dance with just the two dancers but the exit lift is rather heart in the mouth stuff.

I was pointed in the direction of Stanislaw Wegrzyn's IG stories as I don't follow him and then I saw Amelia Townsend's story myself

I’m wonder why Matthew Ball didn’t partner Mayara.
Maybe he was elsewhere. Perhaps with Alina Cojocaru and Kim Brandstrup creating their new work for the Metamorphoses shows in Bath which start later in January.
It would appear he was in the wings during the curtain call- 1

Maybe he just connects particularly well with Brazilian Sugar Plum Fairies 🤔

Oh, I must have just been lucky then. Admittedly I did very much know it was Friday & had 3 different browsers open with various tabs pre-loaded! None of them hit a queue though, it was either an immediate Performance Sold Out message or straight onto the seating plan. Did you get anywhere with Manon? I haven't even started trying to do any Manon booking.
No, it's the 9th Feb which is pretty much sold out.

That made a pleasant change: the first time I've tried Friday rush in a while where I haven't got stuck in a queue looking at that dratted sofa!
I had a 11 minute wait...I forgot it was Friday and was just browsing for my missing Manon performance

Apropos @JohnS's post, does anyone know approximately how many of the corps dancers for The Nutcracker are from the RBS? As far as I could tell most of the Angels seemed to be dancers I didn't recognise and there were definitely some Snowflakes but I couldn't work out how many. (Obviously I realise it varies somewhat between performances & depending on injuries/illnesses.)
I did see an Instagram photo showing six RBS Snowflakes...I don't know if it showed all of them or if they were all in the same show

I was thrilled to get a last-minute SCS D51 from @Rob S for what was supposed to be an Osipova Sleeping Beauty in May this year (Yasmine Naghdi replaced her for why I can't remember).
Imagine my 5'3" of horror when the two tall stools in front of me were occupied by two large young women: neither shorter than 5'10" and (I can say this as I am no sylph myself) neither less than at least 14 stone.
The usher at the nearest door came over to me and suggested I go and see his boss in the foyer and say he'd sent me as I had not a restricted view but no view at all.
With two minutes to curtain up, said gentleman scribbled on a voucher and said RUN. B52 of the Stalls Circle. With nobody in front of me for the second act (a trio in their twenties just never came back after interval). For £12.
Rob, I never thanked you properly but I'm doing it now!!
That’s a great result!!! ☺️- 2

Thanks for taking the time and trouble to look at the website, Rob! I hadn't thought about someone in the tall seat in front of the standing spot so that's helpful. Might continue to check the website for returns...!
Yes it’s really down to the person say in front of you, sometimes it’s fine, sometimes not. That said I have a D2 I’ll be selling for Manon because D5 eventually came up- 1
-
D2 is reliant on someone not too tall sitting in the high chair in front, at least the pillar isn’t too intrusive…I buy D1-4 as a last resort.
Not sat in C22 but it looks like a lot of leaning may be in order to see the left hand side of the stage

They left that very late, but as they’ve said Isabel Lubach is doing the Arabian dance I’ll let them off ☺️- 1
