  1. sounds interesting i hope there's video on youtube . i'm sure that it would be great .. i seen once since 2 years ago ice dance to Kana Muramoto and Daisuke Takahashi (Japan) with a free dance program La Bayadere, it was beautiful really. i don't know if is proper share the video of that Free dance here or not , my apologize if isn't the right topic for share it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vh0pZK0QrQY&t=3s
  2. was watching this version of Giselle but is more contemporary , is ok adapt to the new times but i prefer the classical version ,maybe is good idea see both versions but always is good read the libretto and see the classical ones first
  3. I like It a lot , is very funny , first time I see Corsaire from Mikhailovsky and is great , Ekaterina and Oksana address very virtuous... Is now one of my favorites Corsaire
  4. that is really respect and recognize them ,is not common that tv hosts takes a time for mention names and rank of them . is a nice surprise
  5. Marcia Haydee was AD from Teatro Municipal de Santiago until December 2020 ,later taken the position Luis Ortigoza (Marcia Designated him) from 2021 until March 2023 and later had to resign because accusations of bad laboral practice and there was strike and a lawsuit to the laboral justice and from that month if my memory doesn't fail there was an interim AD.
  6. It's great the analysis , always Kathryn does a precise analysis. Marianela is my favorite and Kathryn is right on her analysis Nella have a expressive force , if you see swan lake. You will notice it also Coppelia in the act 1 you will notice it on her corporal language.
  7. Danza & Danza internacional is very interesting , since a year I read this magazine and is interesting the focus of the articles Also ballet 2000 is a good publication , is 50% similar to the extinct dancing times. https://www.ballet2000.com/default.asp
  8. I'm sure Cesar will have a lot of support. Generally in Chile when somebody is new in workplace or position it supports a lot. @FionaM I think that for be AD needs a right balance between artistic and analytical thinking but the ex artistic director didn't known concilie both poles. like suddenly a person that had a way to behave changes its way and forgets their roots and origins and become a negative leadership "a person is the same people and keeps their value and world perspective no matter if is a supermarket cashier, orchestra member or president of a country" @Sim i hope during this year go to the theater and will share my impressions with yours . I think from 2009 to now there was a lot changes and I hope this year there's more repertoire classique because last year 60% of repertoire was contemporary and is ok but forgets about classics like la bayadere or Raymonda isn't ok.
  9. The 4th act of la bayadere ,I think with the technology it can do something closer to the original libretto also that teatro municipal de Santiago adds to its repertoire because e last year was on repertoire was 2012. My wishes Le Papillon , I read once the libretto and I seen a video of YouTube and is nice . Midsummer night's dream .
  10. Was reading it and now it's official.. https://municipal.cl/municipal/cesar-morales-nuevo-director-artistico-del-ballet-de-santiago/ Is great that he become AD ,I think later of the disaster of Luis Ortigorza years before , ballet municipal de Santiago needs return to its normal way. And well he's Chilean and wants contribute more to improve the national scene I think.
  11. Hello Jan, I didn't had the opportunity to see ballet in the theater since 2009 , well was during the epoch that Marcia Haydee was artistic director for me was the best artistic director that had ballet of Santiago . Is great that Cesar be the new director because the ex director Luis Ortigorza had to resign because a strike from the ballet of Santiago due to some bad practice and not good work conditions and a trial on Laboral Justice, well it was a great dancer but for be a director needs more aptitude and competence and logically the evidence is present. I hope during this year go to theater and see a ballet also I wish to Cesar all the best and success as artistic director. Is a great news and for me was a true surprise.
  12. Medici TV is great but not perfect some ballets have a best before (later of a date isn't available) , I tried with Opera de paris play but their catalogue is poor , i would expected more but just have the latest ballet from past season but older ones like Bayadere from 1992 or others no too recent they hadn't . ROH streaming is ok ,image quality is nice and audio quality is great but is expensive in the long term and Amazon prime here in Chile , nothing ,no ballets neither similar.
