Just a note to let those of you looking for an Easter School, there is one being run by Bristol Russian Ballet School from Sunday March 27th - Thursday April 2nd, 12 - 4pm. Will include class, pointe work, rep, character and pas de deux. Fabulous studio and facilities and the cost is £170.00. Guest teachers TBA but will be either an ENB member or a Vaganova trained high profile teacher from London, Age from approximately 12/13 years but must have experience en pointe. Bristol Russian Ballet School and Youth Ballets' production of Nutcracker went really well, fantastic audience and Elena and Yat-Sen were wonderful. It was so nice to meet forum members and hope you enjoyed it.

Elena's last performance with ENB was truly superb, amazing, emotional and more, the orchestra was fantastic, it's a performance I will never forget, she is dancing the lead role in Bristol Russian Ballet School's performance of Nutcracker this coming Saturday at the Playhouse Weston-super-Mare alongside Yat Sen Chang. It's a sell out but hopefully she'll be joining us in future productions - I'll keep you posted. I am soooooo excited and can't wait to see her dance again, I know some of you have a ticket so looking forward to seeing you there, we're in for a treat ..............

I went to the Bristol Hippodrome last night, Elena was TERRIFIC, there are no words to describe what a fantastic performance it was, as she gets closer to her last performance with ENB she gets better and even better (if that's possible !), her Juliet at the Albert Hall was absolutely amazing, the whole performance last night was excellent, the corp was brilliant and Arionel was well on form, we're all going to miss her but I must let you all know that she, along with Arionel, will be starring in the Nutcracker with Bristol Russian Ballet School and Youth Ballet Company on January 31st, 4 pm, Playhouse, Weston super Mare, I hope some of you will be able to join her there.

Not kidding BristolBillyBob, it's true so get your ticket asap as they're selling now and you'll want a good seat, we're hoping for a full house so that we can give her a fantastic West Country welcome, see you thre xxxxxxxx

It's very sad although not unexpected as many of you have commented, however ..... the good news is that on January 31st at the Weston Playhouse, Weston super Mare on Sat January 31st at 4 pm there will be another opportunity for us to enjoy and lose ourselves as Elena is dancing the lead role, along with Arionel, in the Bristol Russian Ballet Schools' production of Nutcracker, from the previous comments I can see that some of you were at the production of Cinderella earlier in the year, hope to see you again in January where we can applaud her once again xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Hi Bristol Russian Ballet School are having an Easter Course, 13th - 17th April, there will be application form on their web site very soon, 13 years, they will need a photo of student in !st Arabesque, price not confirmed yet but in the region of £160. They use fabulous studio at David Lloyd, Ashton, Bristol. If you need any further information then e-mail or phone Chika, her details are on their web site which is in the process of being updated but all her details are there.

BRYB can now announce that Arionel Vargas will be dancing the Prince alongside Elena Glurdjize in our forthcoming production of Cinderella at the Plaza, Stockport on Feb 16th 2014, Exciting times, all profits in aid of Reubens Retreat.

Capybara I will relay your best wishes to Elena, she is working with Bristol Russian Youth Ballet Company at the moment, they are going to perform Cinderella at the Plaza in Stockport on Sun Feb 16th at 4 pm, she's their Cinderella. The two ugly sisters rehearsed with her on Saturday at the ENB studios and she's fine. I don't know where in the Country you live but she will also be dancing with them on Sun May 4th May at the Playhouse, Weston super Mare (tickets not on sale yet). The Stockport performance is in aid of a local charity "Reubens Retreat"; We're all missing seeing her on stage but hopefully you'll be able to make one of these performances, it'll be great to see her dancing with the next generation and I can't wait.

BRYB's two ugly sisters went to English National Ballet Company studios today and rehearsed with Elena Glurdjize for their forthcoming production of Cinderella at the Stockport Plaza on Feb 16th at 4 pm, If you can make the journey then please do as it's going to be a super production, we've missed Elena over the past months so a good opportunity to catch up with her, if you can't make Stockport then she'll be with them again at the Playhouse, Weston Super Mare on Sunday May 4th.

I know nothing of Caroline Thomson but I would disagree that Tamara Rojo is taking the ENB on an exciting journey, as far as I am concerned she's on the road to ruining it, her recent interview in the Guardian intimated she was not wanting "the grannys with their granddaughters" but was wanting to attract the "gays and single women" nothing wrong with that of course but I'm a granny and I've spent a fortune following ENB and I'm insulted with her remarks, there's no sign of Elena Glurdjize in Corsaire which is clearly mad and I for one won't be supporting them any longer, I don't suppose she'll care though, one less "Granny" .

Hi Thequays Well I don't know Stockport but I have to say the Stockport Plaza is the most fabulous 1920's art deco theatre and well worth a visit for two reasons, one to visit the theatre and of course to watch the performance.

Bristol Russian Ballet School run a fabulous Summer School with national and international students, amazing teachers including Elena Glurdjize, Leading Principal dancer with English National Ballet who is also their Patron. The studio is in a stunning location and the cost isn't ridiculous. If necessary they can find host families for students who live away. My niece absolutely loved it and fell in love with the Russian style, she's hoping to join their Youth Ballet Company who are currently working on a production of Cinderella which will take place in the Stockport Plaza in February of next year and the icing on the cake is that they will be dancing alongside Elena Glurdjize who is dancing the lead role of Cinderella, how amazing is that, I understand they may be holding an Easter Summer School as well.
