  1. Hi everybody, I've managed to completely miss booking for the summer season and am looking for SCS tickets for Osipova's evening Swan Lakes. I would imagine this is a long shot at this early point, but if anybody has one or, ideally, two tickets to spare, I'd really appreciate it! Many thanks!
  2. Very interesting matinee today. The Neumeier piece was amazing, Reilley and Badenes were great again, the rest was fine, Polunin was on good form. Satori is better on second viewing. While the choreography is quite passable (still better that anything Pita's ever done), I enjoyed the dancing very much. So all in all, not a bad program at all.
  3. Thank you Alison - good point! I keep forgetting it's the Nutcracker season! Still looking
  4. Still looking. Please let me know if anybody has anything. Thanks!
  5. I won't lie - I went to see Scriabiniana. I LOVED it. What a beautiful ballet, wonderfully danced by all. For that alone I'm grateful to Sergei for putting this program together. The other ballets had their moments, but I'm afraid I won't be rushing back to see Satori any time soon. Sergei needs to keep trying though - I'm sure something will good will eventually come out of this.
  6. Hi, Would like to get one ticket for the matinee on December 18. SCS would be great, but happy to consider alternatives. Many thanks.
  7. I don't think I fully enjoyed any of the recent programmes that featured a particular dancer. Amore was really varied and done with good taste. I don't think I expected a car-crash of a programme, but I really felt that my expectations were exceeded. Surprisingly is probably not the best word though.
  8. A bit late for this, but the programme was surprisingly strong. Lobukhin, Savin, Rodkin - it's such a pity we won't be seeing them in London in 2018.
  9. Sorry, just saw this. Both tickets are now gone. Hope you enjoy it Ruth!
  10. Hi, Selling two SCS for this Saturday. £26 for the pair. Etickets so can email right away. D11-D12. Please pm if interested. Thank you
  11. Good morning, Can't make it to the tonight's performance. I have two better standing amphitheatre places (T46/45). These are etickets. £20 for the pair. Please pm me if interested. Thank you.
  12. Sorry, I didn't even recognise our posts had clashed! I got desperate from refreshing ROH website and bumped my post. Hope you get a seat for tomorrow, Jacky!! I definitely don't feel like you've been trying to do get in front of me. Good luck!
  13. bumping this. still looking for one ticket for Thursday please
  14. Can't understand why it wasn't sold out either. A very interesting mixed program. I love this Carmen, always have. I've only seen it previously with Lopatkina and the great Maya. I felt that unlike her Anna Karenina, Vishneva's Carmen lacked passion, but no complaints about seeing this wonderful ballerina on stage for what can be her last performance in London. I am very much looking forward to tonight to see what Kondaurova does with it. I liked Infra - having never seen it before, I found it quite engaging and beautifully danced albeit McGregor is still not one of my choreographers. Finally, Paquita was spell-bounding, with Kondaurova, Batoeva and, especially, Tereshkina dazzling. All in all, a fabulous evening - can't wait for tonight!
  15. Only need on for Thursday, if anybody has a spare. Thank you.
  16. However Mariinsky has a few stages around the country so some of the company are engaged there (e.g., Vladivostok).
  17. Today's Don Q was probably the best I have seen. Ever. Elena Evseeva was remarkable. I know I'm a bit too impressed now, but it was simply that great.
  18. Perhaps words like 'disaster' can only lead to more drama. We all need to take a step back.
  19. Both terrific nights of AK. Vishneva being very much the Anna Karenina type, delivered a fantastic interpretation, with taste, beauty and emotional depth. Tereshkina gave a slightly more subdued, internalised Anna. I preferred the first night, but this is a matter of personal taste, not of the actual artistic merit and enjoyment. Beautiful choreography and the score by the wonderful Rodion Schedrin was superb and emotionally expressive. Love reading the comments to this. The two Annas, the two mirrors to see our own reflections.
  20. Hello, I am looking for 1 SCS to each Thursday nights and Saturday night for La Bayadere. Please kindly pm me if you have a spare. Many thanks!
  21. Bumping in case anybody has a spare SCS. Thank you!
