I've got one, but mine doesn't smell. It is really floppy though .. My friend has got one too, and it is really nice and stiff - quite the opposite as mine .. Any ideas what to do with mine to make it stiff, and less floppy?

As you've probably did I audition with a DVD. I'm pleased with the offer on the reserve list - I would just like to know if I'm nr 15 or 3..

I wonder if any of you know how many there are on the reserve list at Rambert, and if many doesn't accept their place?

I'm not sure, but I did get an impression of that they don't have to. Though I guess it would be logical to get an interview or a physio check.

Does any of you know how long it takes from Rambert has received the audition DVD until you'll get a yes or no? I got a mail telling that they had received my DVD, and that they should let me know as soon as possible whether it was a yes/no.

I wonder what you think about using ankle weights to improve your strength, such as developes, extensions etc. Any experiences or opinions are welcome !

I've dances since I was little, but u didn't start to actually focus in proper technique, strength, flexibility etc until I was 16(!) which is late. I turned 18 this year. Before I realized how much of a demand ballet is I wasn't flexible at all. My whole life I've got natural turnout and open hips, but my back, hamstring etc have always been inflexible. Suddenly with more classes, focus on improving and stengthening my body started to get more flexible it self. No I think I can describe myself as a quite flexible. This without any stretching routines etc. I've been lucky and got some natural flexibility, but also I think this proves that you can improve your body after the age of 15/16 At last, I really enjoy all the posts and interesting topics!

I think they'll do exams on the old advanced 2 syllabus out 2014, but I'm not sure. You'll probably be able to find som info about it on www.rad.org.uk

I did advanced from sep 2011 to may 2012 and did my exam may 2012. I'm still doing the syllabus even though I did my advanced 2 exam this spring. Though I think I know the syllabus very well and I'm a bit tired of doing it, I still find it really helpful because I can focus a lot on the technique. She can probably do more of the exercises on Demi-pointe or pointe at the barre if she is allowed. Just to gain even more strength As I said if she is allowed doing the whole syllabus, or barre on pointe will help her a lot - at least it helped me very much. Doing advanced 1 from 2011-2015 before doing the exam is a very long period of time ! I'm sorry if my English is hard to understand..

I just wonder if any of you know anything about the new syllabus coming in a month? I finished advanced 2 this spring (old syllabus), and I'm curious to see the new one !
