  1. Oh, really? I got confirmed 21th first, had booked airplane tickets and hotel, and then I got a mail telling me they weren't able to be there 21th so they moved it to 28th ..
  2. The 21st Feb was moved to 28th Feb. I got the 21st, and then a couple of weeks later it was moved ..
  3. You can check Royal Conservatorie of Scotland. They do a BA in modern ballet!
  4. I tend to get blisters on the exact same spot, but mine are caused by the hole under the tights. The "lining" is rubbing my skin while doing pointe work. I used surgical spirit to dry the blister out - I felt a really bad pain while dabbing the cotton-dot on the blister ..
  5. I'm not quite sure. I guess advanced, but it depends on what the standard of the advanced classes are.
  6. Thank you, thequays! I couldn't get their website to work, so thats helpful.
  7. I wonder how the classes at pineapple are, and what the standard of the different ballet classes are? Any recommendations are appreciated!
  8. It is the same venue for the 28th February audition (was 21th February but changed).
  9. Have any of you heard about the company? I recently discovered the company, and find their work really interesting!
  10. I received an invitation for preliminary audition in London 21st of Februar today.
  11. I've got quite narrow and small feet, and was fitted to the Amelie as well. I used only one pair of those, because I did find the box a little big and too wide .. I guess it is different for every dancer, so you should give them a try !
  12. I tend to get bruised toe nails while dancing on pointe. Especially on my big toe. My nail recently grew out, and now it is bruised again.. I have a performance in 2 months and I'm afraid that I'll lose the nail before the performance. Which means I have to dance without the nail. Something I find way too painful. Any tips on how to make the nail better?
  13. Drdance - sorry for bursting in, but I would love some exercises for developé !
  14. Palucca in Dresden, Germany has both ballet and contemporary.
  15. I'll do it ! Good lucky with the essay, and what a great theme!
  16. When you do en avant you pass the back foot to the front into fifth, and then do the sissoné, and en arriere you pass the front foot to the back into fifth, and then do the sissoné
  17. If you find the soft blocks you buy too hard, you can easily use your old pointe shoes. (If they're not totally damaged and bad looking) I get the sole out, and I cut the materials inside the shoe to get the box out. (It won't work if you've allready cut the satin on the tip of the shoe ..)
  18. Osmum - congratulation to your dd and you !! I guess it isn't worth waiting for me then .
  19. A moment like this - Leona Lewis
  20. Macnatt - thank you for making the whole "situation" much more clear !
  21. Mel - hahah what a funny picture of the Nordic countries ! It is quite true though ..!! Thank you for answering my questions. This forum is really amazing, and so helpful.
  22. Dada do not offer loans to students from a non-eu country though .. I'm not even sure if I'll get loan and some kind of a "scholarship" from the government where I come from, I can't answer why foreign students have to pay higher fees.
  23. I think the fees for non-eu/uk students are approximayley £17000 each year.
  24. I'm from abroad, so if I'm luck enough to get a place from the reserve list will I have to pay the high fees.. I'll still keep on waiting, because I haven't heard of any who has been offered a place while being on the reserve list.
  25. Again, I guess we have to keep on waiting. Mel: did you get any information about how long it approximately will take until we hear from Rambert?
