With the delightful Karis Scarlette, who's a lot of fun to train with: she was doing a workshop in Dublin this weekend. 

 

If you happen to have quite a lot of thousands of pounds/euros down the back of the couch, obviously.

Karis is teaching at the DanceXchange (or Fabric or whatever it is now named) in Birmingham. Far cheaper than the Maldives.

But not as much in the way of sun or sandy beaches...

And all a far cry from the days when RAF Gan, at the southern tip of the Maldives, was the RAF refuelling point on the routes to Singapore and Hong Kong.  Last flight through Gan was in March 1976, as I recall, as Colombo began to be used instead.  At that time, Gan had the only airfield of any consequence in the Maldives, something I believe has changed considerably since then.
