Springbourne3 Posted August 24, 2019 Posted August 24, 2019 The ‘Good Morning America’ host Lara Spencer has been accused of bullying by the dance world and beyond, regarding her comments (and laughing at) Prince George doing ballet - absolutely shameful. https://edition.cnn.com/2019/08/23/entertainment/lara-spencer-prince-george-ballet-trnd/index.html
Shade Posted August 24, 2019 Posted August 24, 2019 How sad in the 21st century that people are still making such comments 2
Tony Newcombe Posted August 24, 2019 Posted August 24, 2019 Read the response from Leanne Cope on her Instagram page. Quite magnificent 1

Sim Posted August 24, 2019 Posted August 24, 2019 Well she has certainly got the backlash she deserved. I often don’t agree with public shaming, but in this case a grown woman publicly laughing and sniggering at a little boy for doing what he loves deserves all she gets. Add to that the perpetuation of stereotypes to an audience of millions and for me, she is fair game. As I have said many times, I am all for free speech, but she wasn’t expressing an opinion...she was sniggering (as was her audience) at a defenceless little boy. Shame on her. 11
Springbourne3 Posted August 24, 2019 Author Posted August 24, 2019 There are many, many comments regarding the above coming from dancers all around the world this morning on Instagram and Facebook. I taught many young boys to dance during my teaching career and completely understand what they have had to put up with in the past, from the bullies who mock and laugh at them just for wanting to dance - and now this in 2019??? It’s so disappointing. Shame on that TV presenter. 8
