Can'tdokneedrops
I understand it may change each year but, as of this academic year, which auditions require a solo. Furthermore, do they require self choreographed one?

theother51
I don't know I'm afraid but I just wanted to say hello and I like your username. Until last week I had never heard of it but my daughter appears to have bought rather a lot of it and I have no idea what its for!

Dancermum
From our experience, Tring & Rambert require a solo and so do the more all round/MT schools like Laines (typically all different lengths, some 1 minute some 1 min 30). Royal, enb, Elmhurst & central don't. Not sure about the others... sure someone else can add to the list. We have used a cut down version of a festival solo done by dd's teacher but know others that have choreographed their own. I think as long as it shows you at your best it doesn't matter who choreographs it.

Pointetoes
DD choreographed her own, she has a classical ballet solo but felt it would look better if she did something of her own.
BumbleBallerina
For legat you also have to have a solo prepared.
