Lisa O`Brien
The actor John Hurt has died. Very sad. In my opinion he was one of the greatest British actors of all time. The only thing i'm surprised about is that he wasn't knighted twenty or thirty years ago. Why? Maybe he had turned a Knighthood down before, I don't know. RIP. Huddsballetmum
I remember the first time I saw Elephant Man. I cried practically all the way through. He gave such a fabulous portrayal of a very brave and lonely man. The acting world will definitely miss John Hurt.

The scene where he shouts 'I am not an elephant! I am not an animal! I am a human being! I am a man!' still haunts me to this very day and every time I talk to somebody about it, I tear up. One of the most important movies every made. If you haven't seen it, you should stop what you're doing and watch it right away.
