My daughter is 13 and was accepted this summer. Her video was only 5 minutes. No extra's.

Good afternoon! I was wondering which good European summer intensives are good quality and do also have boarding? The ones I have found so far: UK: Yorkshire Ballet Seminars UK: Royal Ballet School UK: Elmhurst Ballet School France: Rosella Hightower Cannes France: Paris Opera Ballet School France: Princess Grace The Netherlands: National Ballet Academy Any others I am missing? Thanks in advance for the info!

My daughter just finished her first day at POB. She had an amazing day. She was wondering what the colours on the name tags mean. Apparently there is green, yellow, orange and red. Anyone any ideas?

No email here either. Thursday was an official holiday in France and most people also have Friday off. So normal to not be able to reach them then. Hopefully more news soon!

No news here either. But there were issues with their mailing system. Not everyone got the acceptance emails. So probably some delay because of that.

Dutch National Ballet Summer School, advice sought

It has quite a good reputation! My DD will join as well this summer (for the first time). I know a little bit about how it was organised last year from some other moms. The 12-14 group was divided in two groups of +-25 students. Good classes, nice accomodation. The last day (on Sunday) you will be able to watch the classes. I also know a mom that will chaperone this year, so a big advantage for my daughter as she will know someone to go to for any issues. -

Here as well. After waitlist for RBS she will be so happy with POB. Hopefully more positive results for all of you as well?

We are from Belgium, but coming to Italy (Rome) to the ESB Summer school in July-August. I don't think it means a NO or YES. Just late I think?

Anyone any news? This is our first time applying for the summer of POB so no idea if we have to wait until the day of the deadline or if they already send emails sooner?

Waitlist here as well. No link to confirm. No, not all unsuccessful children get a wait list. There are children that receive a no. (At least, that's what my DC's dance teacher says.)

Yes she is, thank you. Next week she is auditioning in Amsterdam. So now fully focused on that audition.

On the forum I've read there are only 1 or 2 places in year 8/9 most of the time. As children starting in year 7 are guaranteed they can stay until the end of year 9. So not many new places available.

Yes, apparently she was number 131 and the group went above 150. What number was your daughter? My daughter was very positive about the atmosphere. Girls were very helpfull. (She was the one that didn't understand everything as english is not her mother tongue). According to my daughter we will hear something in 2 weeks time. Fingers crossed for everyone!

My 12 (almost 13) year old daughter went today. She was in the last group of the day. Their group was around 25 Girls and there had been 150 during the day. No idea how many go to the finals...

Very curious about that as well. Last summer my DD got waitlist. Now is the first time she's trying for the spring intensive. Last year they received results around the 26th of November if I read correctly here on the forum.
