  1. Just to clarify is it the tax year before you start that they ask for financial details from so for this September it would have been tax year 2023-2024?
  2. So helpful- thank you!
  3. How is DaDa funding assessed for years 2 and 3? If a DaDa is awarded for year 1 but parental income fluctuates substantially either up or down is there a possibility that the DaDa awarded also changes in amount offered for the next years?
  4. I think there’s more we can do as parents- frequently there’s posts about kids having multiple private lessons, attending multiple associates and flying out to intensives worldwide but how many are allocating some of this budget to buying tickets to watch ballet whether large or possibly more importantly small companies? The reality of the breadth of the repertoire not just the tutu ballets might be a reality check for some whilst ensuring some increased ticket sales bridge some of the deficit from the hole in funding and maybe even lead to more jobs!
  5. It’s not stadium ticket prices funding this but TV rights. I’m sure selling out a stadium plus merchandise sales is not a small amount of money but it is far exceeded by money from TV
  6. Degas 9501 rubi now sold Still some items available. All great/ perfect condition
  7. Be careful in Freed there’s long delays on getting shoes (I believe 12 weeks at last count), so consequently no stock. My DD had a fitting in there over the summer and was given the wrong size. She was told they’d be ok with ribbons and elastic when she expressed concern (but they were just too long) the size she needed were unsurprisingly out of stock when I tried to return them a few days later as they’re unsafe and unwearable. Store didn’t want to know when I asked for a refund because they’d been sewn so just wasted £50. I was told to ‘chalk it up to pointe shoe experience’. However they were the shoes she had been professionally fitted with days before! I believe they’re selling what stock they have rather than what is needed for the dancer, and when I was in openly celebrating sales.
  8. Just bumping this up the chat as there’s a few leotards still available that would be perfect for upcoming auditions ☺️
