Yes at the finals we got a tour and they said no aerosols as the fire alarm system is sensitive

My DD has accepted a place to start in year 7. I am hoping we will get a list of what is needed from the school but if anyone has any tips for a first timer at boarding school, it would be greatly appreciated!

I am not sure how it would make a difference unless you mean it would put someone off to decline the place so they could accept theirs?

I totally agree with this as someone currently going through the process with a Year 6 DD. We started this process not knowing if it is what we really wanted but i am glad we did as we now know that a vocational school is what would be best for my DD. There just arent the opportunities locally for her. We had pre conceived ideas of what school we preferred until we attended the auditions and what we though we would like the most is actually what we liked the least. I can understand the resentment towards those with no intention of taking a place but i also believe that everyone has the right to change their mind which will and has happened. Isnt it best to try and make that decision once you know where you stand than always be wondering what if?

I think there were 3 groups of 12/13 or 14 girls but grouped two together to allow people to leave earlier due to the weather. Therefore there were only 2 classes as opposed to 3 separate ones. I believe!

We have just received an email and the plans have changed and will now be all on 1 day due to the Elmhurst auditions. So i will be able to drop my DD off and leave for most of the day and return for pick up so not as much back and forth now

Good luck to everyone attending finals this week! Has anyone on here travelled by public transport to White Lodge finals? How easy are taxi’s there and back? On a previous thread (maybe last year or the year before) there was mention of a shuttle bus.

Hi. Does anyone have any experience with funding? Is it calculated on the tax year? So for Sept start, would it be 22/23 tax year and then reviewed each year?

Does anyone know if the school tours at White Lodge and Elmhurst finals are just parents or include the student?

The website states: Results will be sent out w/c27 February latest. So should be this week 🤞🏻
