Whoop Whoop
well done @Bunny
so pleased for you xx

@SpamcatI'd contact them and ask as she is so close to the age range. I know with the RAD awards DD was allowed to attend age 7 even though age stated was 8. Maybe worth a try.

@spamcat
check out Eventbrite website and search on Dartington Summer School or RAD summer school
I believe they are also on the RAD website

Or at least i think it was! It's all an over considered blur now!!!
Oh wow, now I'm very confused too xx
-
@TinyNEDancer boys groups are separate, I believe, therefore they wouldn’t go in same order as girls x
-
many thanks @Astrid, DD group was 58 to 85 with DD number 74, (Nov born) very interesting to know. The class before DD was all boys.
As you say there is such a slim chance, I think less than 10% for the girls but what fantastic experience for them just to have the confidence at this age to audition. They are all absolute stars

Nice idea @Spamcat
Son or Daughter? Daughter
Birthday? May
Year applied for? 4
Auditioned in? Birmingham (Group 4, 3rd May)
For a place in? London
Second choice? Birmingham
Applied before? No
Any other centres? Applied for elmhurst and was lucky enough to get a place.Any other info? We have to travel quite a way to both centres, and have two other DCs (younger) to consider - London slightly shorter journey but have parents in Birmingham so each option has benefits! really loved elmhurst though and wasn’t expecting to get in there, and we would be stuck like others above if we were ever lucky enough to be in that scenario. 🙃
@Astrid, can you remember what number your DD and last number in the class. Tried so hard not to do this but now obsessing! not that it will make any difference to the results

Morning all, does anyone know how many groups there were at Birmingham Fri 3rd May, DD was in group 3 and I know there was a boys group before her and a girls group after her, was there a group 5 and maybe even 6?

DD audition confirmation email came through at 6.29pm

That's lovely that they enjoyed it so much! (Did you spot the long haired bloke? 😂) She has her heart set on Elmhurst now so I don't think the RBS results matter any more!
😂😂😂 yes introduced DD after the class although there may be more than one long haired bloke ?? 😂😂😂
I think our two DDs were in the same audition and recognised each other x

Fairydust they must have been in the same class?
We just got a bit more information our of DD. She demonstrated a beautiful butterfly dance routine that they learnt. It looked amazing! I can't believe they learnt that in 1 hour!
Yes, DD was with her I’m sure. I think I may know who your DD is so look forward to next week. DD was so positive and happy after the class xx

DD also attended this morning from 8.45, year 4 new girls class (no boys) although not ALL of the new year 4 girls were there. She also recognised girls from audition, which is lovely. She came out with the biggest smile, absolutely loved it.

@Spamcat DD is so excited too. What a fantastic opportunity for them. Looking forward to meeting you all, will look out for long haired man 😂😂😂 I have short dark a-symmetrical hair. My DH will be there with us for September classes.
So lovely to get such support from others too xx

We heard about a jazz class and we are really hoping they can do this too as my DD would love it! Maybe it's an optional extra?
If it’s the same as last year there will be 1 hour 15 ballet and exercise and optional 1 hour jazz
-
I think there may be an option of a jazz class too

Hope they give us a bit more info on Saturday too. We have auditioned and accepted a place and we literally know nothing about it! 😂
One of DDs friends goes and say it’s fantastic so we’re not worried although we know very little too 😂
looking forward to meeting you all xx
