Gutted to be missing their debuts but hopefully this cast will be repeated on Saturday evening

I managed to get straight in without queuing and got better places than I had at Friends time for both Naghdis and the Hamilton Manon

Thank you for identifying him. I thought that's who it was but wasn't sure. Can anyone identify the other matadors? I think one is Ben Ella but again not sure
Re: Nunez (and even more so for Muntagirov) - Must be nice to get such an ovation for just showing up.
Ella, Teo, Lukas BB, Nicol Edmonds, Calvin and I’ll remember the other one at curtain up- 1

Nuñez on top form this evening and particularly smiley 😀
Great to see Teo Dubreuil back on stage too, he’s on matador duty

The excitement’s building!!!! 😀 (although so is the dread of the nine hours I’ve got to wait for the train home after the show 🫣)

The station I'm currently at is warning of an "amended" Thameslink service between 29th September and 6th October, too.
That's because of the less publicised overtime ban between those dates

Good idea. I can't remember if I did or not, but I suspect not.
Weren't they supposed to be making an announcement about that a while ago? (Assuming we're right, anyway)
Presumably it's yet to come.....or it was such exciting news I've forgotten it

This is an unusually detailed message about the reasons for a cast change, and anticipated recovery etc....very welcome for concerned audience members. It would be nice if such explanations were the norm, but I suppose this will depend on how much information the dancer concerned wishes to share publicly.
Or how popular the dancer is in this role

Has Mayara Magri danced Kitri before with the Royal Ballet or will this be her debut?
if yes, who has she partnered previously?
thank you in advance
She was Kitri with Alexander Campbell when I went on my birthday in 2019.

I do wish the Mercedes & Espadas were announced in advance.
Me too, with the train strikes it would be great to know in advance if I should make an effort to get to an affected performance to see a debut (ie sit in Paddington station all night waiting for the first train the next morning)

Isabella Gasparini has posted about trying on the Mercedes costume originally made for Laura Morera.
So the Mercedes list is growing: Buvoli; Gasparini; Magri so far.
And Yuhui 🙂

Good to see there were no technical gremlins today....even if so many performances had no SCS available

This ticket is now spoken for.

Due to the rail strike I'm going to have to sit at home dreaming about the view from SCS D5 that I'm offering for sale, a bargain at £14
Please PM me if interested

What a surprise...with three double show Saturdays in a row booked I knew at least one would be hit and so it's come to pass...and the Wednesday show too. I should have known they'd target the Tory party conference dates....hopefully they won't do the same to Labour which is the next week.

Sorry I had no idea this programme had been extensively discussed for some time elsewhere

Monday’s Panorama on BBC1
The Dark Side Of Ballet Schools (BBC1, 8pm)
For Panorama, Mark Daly investigates claims emerging from the Royal Ballet in London and Elmhurst in Birmingham that a culture of bullying and extreme body consciousness is rife. Mental health issues and eating disorders are endemic, but is a reckoning on its way?

The cast change is now on the booking page too so it wasn't a typo
