    No real surprises I think! Though I think Matthew Ball being promoted to First Artist and not Soloist reflects that he has only done 1 full complete season with the company, as didn't he join midway through the 2013/2014 season? I am surprised that Tierney Heap has not been promoted to First Artist considering that she has done Lilac Fairy, Queen of the Willis and is down to do Carmen next season.

    Am I right in thinking that Pennefather smokes? Therefore, his body will take longer to recovery from injury as well as be more prone to it

    I agree, but I do think Tamara Rojo is trying to strengthen lower ranks in the company. Laurretta Summerscales and Shiori Kase seem an obvious choice for promotion there, but yes international names may still be needed to boost the company's profile. Maybe more poaching from Royal Ballet? In an interview, Tamara Rojo did say that she would retire when ENB no longer needed her name to sell tickets

    That is a strong statement, you only have to watch a video of Russian ballerina and an English ballerina to notice an obvious difference in style. At Christmas in 2014, my Mum and I went to watch a live relay of the Bolshoi's Nutcracker, and a few months before we had gone to watch the Winters Tale live. My Mum has a limited knowledge of ballet, and even she immediately picked up on the difference of style, noticing that English ballet was more lyrical, with more accurate footwork. The English style has perhaps evolved over time, as technique has become more refined. It was never going to stay the same forever, as Frederick Ashton is no longer alive to choreograph new ballets!

    No that is right, Marquez is only down for two shows of Juliet - Hayward, a Soloist, is in more Principal roles!

    Always enjoyed watching Tierney Heap on stage, and as for Iana Salenko, these questions will be answered when promotions are announced?

    Naghdi and Ball for Romeo and Juliet!!! Also Osipova and Muntagirov will be gold! I'm honestly really excited for this season now!

    Also it says that she is going there as a principal. Maybe Leanne Cope has inspired other dancers to try out ballet elsewhere, maybe out of frustration with Royal Ballet?

    I've now watched both rehearsal clips - and found that I've enjoyed it so much! Not enjoyed McGregors work so much since Chroma! What are your opinions?

    Does anyone find it weird that the cast has been altered without letting us know? Calvert and Nunez have disappeared from the lists

    For those who were not there in person to watch this insight event, here is a video of Woolf Work rehearsals that has just been uploaded onto Youtube I personally can't wait to watch this when I get back from the library!

    I've only seen the Don Q rehearsal video of the two of them dancing together, and I wasn't convinced either! I've seen Muntagirov dance with Cojocaru, Daria and Fernanda Oliveria when he was at ENB and their chemistry was miles better! Maybe when we finally see Muntagirov on stage with Lauren Cutherbertson, there might be some exciting chemistry there (Polunin replacement?)

    Did anyone else found it interesting that in the 2015/2016 trailer that O'Hare placed so much emphasis on giving younger dancers more of a chance? I think it will be fabulous season if he does carry that out, but I wonder if he is aware that a lot of his principals are of a similar age, and may fear a repeat of Benjamin, Galeazzi, Cojocaru, Kobborg and Rojo departure?

    Who would people like to see cast in The Nutcracker as Clara and Hans-Peter? I personally would like to see Naghdi/Ball Hayward/Campbell

    I disagree, I think the amount of mixed bills and repeated ballets might give more opportunities! Especially such a long run of The Nutcracker! Also I think, from the amount of injuries this year across the ranks, next season's repetoire might reflect management trying to make things a bit easier.

    I hope they give some of the lower ranks a chance to tackle roles in R&J and the Winters tale. However the Nutcracker will provide a lot of opportunities! Fingers crossed for Matthew Ball as the Prince! Yeah he does have his favourites! Hopefully roles are not just reserved for principals this time!

    I personally love the repertoire for 2015/2016!! Perhaps more performances of The Winters Tale might mean a chance of different casts, hopefully there will not be as many injuries this season!

    I agree! I'm not familiar with the usual run of things, but do they understudy for roles in the Royal Ballet? Claire Calvert and Hamilton have both performed extracts from Swan Lake for gala performances, and Choe has performed the role abroad. I hate to say this, but does the constant drafting in of external talent show a lack of confidence in lower levels?

    Anyone else miss Polunin and wish he had never left? He and Cuthbertson had a fabulous partnership!
