  1. Hi MrsKrabz

I can only voucher for KS

S&C 1/2 times a week - can pay for private also!

Massage on site when ever needed!

    Counselling on site, if needed!

    All included in fees

Can’t speak highly enough of the care and attention paid to their students, more than can be said about another school dd attended in the past! 🤣

  2. Have to say we weren’t impressed either cos of the cost of them! 🤣 Dd loves her Gaynors but never thought she’d find anything to compare! But she’s wearing the merlet with the medium shank in them and as she likes how her feet look in them! 🩰

  3. Haha well! Dd has only ever worn GM’s at upper school! First time wore in front of teacher she was determined to go thru foot like a normal shoe! Think she convinced the teacher as never said anything since, she just doesn’t wear brand new shoes in front of her as once the teacher got hold of the shoe and started bending them 🤣🤣🤣 dd was not impressed!

  4. Dd has been using GM’s for years, high arch, narrow heel, very very strong feet, really really awkward to get shoes for! Last visit to Dancique we bought Merlet! Only spoke to dd 2 nights ago about them as preparing them for shows next week. absolutely loves them! Another alternative to GM’s found! 🥰🩰🥰

  5. Congratulations on your place at KS 🎉 your dd will love it! I can honestly say from experience that the pastoral care is amazing at KS! They are on to things straight away and nothing is ever too much trouble 💗

  6. KS every time!!!! Kate Simmons is passionate about what she does! Her staff too are amazing. My daughter started at KS having come from vocational schools that had taken away her confidence in her dancing. I never thought her love of ballet would return but she has flourished at KS. Full or shortened versions of ballets are taught each year for their annual tour and performances at the Brindley!  My dd has done Romeo & Juliet, Beauty & the Beast, Peter & the Wolf, La Sylphide and now Swan lake! And this is with covid in the middle!!! Never mind the number of solos and pas de deux she’s learnt! And that’s just the ballet side!
If you want any more info please message me 💗

  7. My dd got a yes in yr 5! Had an amazing time! We applied for yr7 and got wait list!
I phoned re the waitlist and their answer was:

Rooms are allocated and paired together in age, when someone drops out they choose/pair up someone same age again! So that’s why there’s a big waitlist! They don’t just take someone from top of list! If that makes

    sense 😁

Well done all those that got a place, good luck with waitlist and as others have said there are plenty of other good courses out there 💗

  8. Eeeekkkkssss!!!! I’d better up my charges then haha 🤣🤣

In my own school, Theatre, lighting, scenery charges etc are covered by Theatre ticket sales and also what’s left goes towards new costumes for the next show. Costume hire charges cover washing, repairing and hiring - I only charge between £3 and £5 per costume depending on how many dances children are in.

Dd was in 2 vocational schools

Voc school 1 charged £50 - she was in 1 ballet dance for 10 sec and wore  class leo and wrap skirt 😡

Voc school 2 charged £50 - she was in every dance going and costumes were fabulous!

Now at College in the 3/4 yrs she’s been there we’ve not been charged a penny (yes maybe had to buy the odd commercial/tap costumes which we kept) but ballet costumes including the most amazing tutus we’ve not had to pay for 💗

  9. If it helps

Our dd did the Glasgow audition (a few years ago now!). Did the tour, saw accommodation - which dd knew about as friend was already there. She really wanted to go there, before she went for the audition!
We didn’t find out til result came thru (which she didn’t get a place!) she hated it, cried all thru the audition, hated the teacher, it just wasn’t for her. It was too uni like for us, and dd only just 16 just wouldn’t have been right for her.
So, yes I think it’s important to actually go and get a feel for a place rather than do an on-line audition.
