  1. Ahhhhhh ok thank you 🤣
My own daughter has only ever used Dancique and I swear by them but it’s a bit far for my students to expect them to go to 🤣

Her first pair were at her Manchester JA centre, but even that’s a nightmare to get to 🤣

  2. Thought I’d start this thread for Pointe Shoe Shops North West!

Now that That’s Entertainment is closing down any others know where’s best to go to for pointe shoe fittings from North Wales please?

A mum has just text me with Bedazzled Bazzar Chester! Never heard of it so any feedback would be great please. Also Footlights Liverpool.

Don’t think mine would all travel to Dancique in Birmingham 🤣

    Thank you 💗🩰💗

  3. The only problem comes is when you continually ask your dd if they want to leave and they say ‘no this  is what I want to do’ ‘I just want to dance!’ And put up with what’s going on 🤣

(just to qualify, dd not at this school but a different one!)

  4. I can relate to that! Although not a big school, I was accepted into a full time ballet school when I was 16! My dad said yes, my mum said no! I never forgave her for saying no I couldn’t go! I ended up on a typing course instead, hated it! But, years later after I’d started my own small School, I was ‘given’ a bigger school as they had heard of my teaching! I’ve never looked back 💗

  5. Going to vocational school isn’t everything! We sort of wish we hadn’t gone down that route and kept her home longer.
DD’s final school/college she went to was the best thing we did from 16! We wish we’d have found the school earlier as we’d have done their classes, associates etc instead of pursuing full time vocational. We’d have still done summer schools and possibly more private lessons too. I feel sure we’d have had a happier dd during those years. It probably would have saved us a lot of heartache and money 🤣

So maybe don’t think of not getting in as a negative but a positive 💗

Hope that helps put a different perspective on things 💗

  6. This is all so hard to read as we’ve been there, done that, got the t shirt 🤣 and my dd is still there fighting!!! Who knows what her future holds but she’s not going down without a fight, and I admire her for that 💗

  7. Peanut68 - my feelings entirely!!!!
One day, ONE DAY sometime in the future I might reveal my feelings on this crazy journey

But for the moment we’re still holding on to the dream 💗🤣💗

  8. Yeh I’ve just written out what I wanted to say and then deleted it!!!! AGAIN!!!
The number of times I’ve written my feelings on this crazy journey then deleted them is unbelievable! If only these AD’s and schools knew what they put our children thru!!!!!!!!

I own my own dance school and I’m all about encouragement and positive feedback, building children’s confidence, not about breaking them

    🤣🤣🤣

  9. Dd was at ks 4 yrs (extra yr cos of covid!) loved the school, loved the dance, loved the staff, loved the teachers and loved the boarding! Think there’s just one house with 2 bedrooms that is run by an older couple, this is mostly for younger first yrs! Dd was there 2 yrs and loved it. 3rd yr she was with 2 first yrs, one of whom she’s still friendly with even tho dd has left there 🤣 All in walking distance so saved on travel expenses. 4th yr dd was further away as technically she had left, but even this was only a short bus ride away.

KS was the one that she felt most at home auditioning at.

Our DD absolutely thrived at KS, would highly recommend over any other college!
