My DD has been offered place at London Studio's with no recall which is amazing and she is over the moon with, but we now have to sort the finances out as the student loan only covers half the fees ????

My DD is 16 and started at college in sept she to is finding it hard doing everything that she always took for granted when she lived at home but is getting slowly getting herself into a routine and it all seems to be falling into place now, but it has been hard along the way! I hope your DD feels better soon Katymac I don't think the college that she is at has long till it finishes for Christmas do they so a nice long break will be good for her.

Remember the photos being another stressful thing to do in the whole audition process. Lovely that the college do them for you this time katymac, where is DD auditioning, fingers crossed for her

My dd is on the reserve list for Bird so fingers crossed she will be lucky then

We had a letter to say No last week from Tring.

Is anyone dc's on the waiting list for a place on the Tring 6th form dance, if so has anyone heard anything yet or know when we can expect to hear?

Never tried to wash ballet shoes before, must give it ago it could save me a fortune.

If you and your DD are happy with the colleges that she has been offered and feel that she is going to get good quality training then she should go for it, at least you know that for the next three years she is going to be happy with what she is doing why try to make her do something that is going to make her miserable.

My dd got letter to say she is on waiting list, we thought it was going to be a straight no as she ballet is not her strongest discipline. Does anyone know what the chances of being offered places from the waiting list?

I am starting to panic as my dd has offers but not had information from any of the colleges about uniform, accommodation etc yet like katymac. So far we have it had to pay any money out!

Not expecting anything but a No as my dd isn't really ballet more jazz and she was very disappointed on the time they spent on the jazz section of the audition and thought they were definitely looking for more classical dancers than anything else, although if you are lucky to get a place you can go down the jazz route in year 2!

My dd was there yesterday and we got told that it was the last day for the dance auditions and letters would not be sent out till the end of the second week in feb

That's what I keep telling her will be glad when it's over to be honest. She has got offers from other colleges but not ballet ones

My dd is gong next Thursday she is really worried that she will be out of her league, as ballet isn't her strongest subject and have heard that they are looking for ballerinas.

For the solo that Tring ask does it have to be ballet or can it be jazz?

2dancersmum, she has been offered the three year diploma at performers. She has been offered the diploma at laine but we had to send a cheque with the registration forms for that one!?!?!?

We haven't been asked for a deposit for performers! Might have to check with them that i shouldn't have sent them a cheque with the registration forms.

I have heard lots of good things about the pre voc course at Bird and foundation at performers from people that have done the courses but don't know anything about bodyworks sorry. I really think it's down to her personal choice on which one she chooses as they are all very good colleges. She doesn't have to make a decision just yet does she surely she has few months before she has to make her final decision.

I would be exactly like you!! So she has the choice between performers, body works and bird so far she has done very well, you must be very proud of her?????
