This system is just not fair lets hope its get changed some time soon so a much fairer way. Katymac where is your dd still waiting to hear from? She has been very patient as didn't she have her last audition before Christmas?

Sorry don't understand why the degree course would be worse. I'm sure you and your DD will work things out and in a few months you will look back and wonder what all the worrying was about!!! Good luck

20 doesn't seem to many I was alway under the impression that the classes were bigger perhaps I am confusing it with the number of students they offer the pre voc course to as I know they offer more than they have places for definite as one college told us that at the open day. Why is the dance teacher concerned about her going away? Is it because she thinks she is not ready if so that could be your answer give it another year and try again. What are possibilities of DD doing less academic A levels so she can concentrate on her dancing. The good thing about the BTEC course is if she does that she will be able to do the degree course when she finishes which will cost you less money

To be honest I would be asking the same questions as I have my doubts about the pre voc/foundation courses as they take so many onto the course and from what I have read the classes are quite big. What advice has her dance teacher given her? She might be lucky with one of the other three is still waiting to hear from. Has she said what she would like to do?

If it is her favourite It might be worth a phone call just to make sure that they do have everything for her to make their decision.

I'm sure they will realise something isn't right when they do the scoring at the end of the day. How did she find the audition my dd has heard that it's really hard and they teach the jazz very quickly, not a lot of the girls that she has spoken to liked it there for some reason

How did your dd know this? I'm sure they couldn't have lost them perhaps they had written them on with the ballet ones or something. What did she think of this college, wasn't this her favourite one?

That's very good, we keep thinking about that for dd but the chances of getting funding are very slim as they told me they only offer 4 scholarships so not sure we could fund it and the cost of living in London and then after the two years she would have to go to another three year course!!!!!

Roll on next sept when this whole process is over and we all know what are dd and ds are doing and where they are going

That's a shame. I'm sure she will be ok and get some offers and hopefully a dada, my dd said exactly the same about the other girls being so good there is some amazing talent out there. The good thing is that she has liked all the colleges that she has been to so far so would be quite happy to go to any of them rather than have one favourite.

Could she re arrange her last ones before Christmas till after to give you all a break?

Bless her she needs to keep her options open, you never know what each different college is looking for. She might get a no from one but in at another it's the way it's going for my dd
