I didn't realise that if you got through to the MDS you would still have to pay the £2250 to hold a place and if you don't get the funding you loose it that is terrible it's very strange, £60 for The Hammond was ok and Elmhurst no money required to go through to the MDS, I don't think we could possibly afford to loose that amount, can you try and speak to someone else at Tring or anyone on here last year had the same dilemma I will ask a couple of my friends who went through to the MDS last year but didn't get the funding if they lost any money x

  4. Hi pas de chat Yes DD going into YR7, she loves Ballet very much we don't really have a preferred route just taking each audition as it comes

  6. It's a yes for finals for dd I'm such a naughty mum I couldn't wait until after school but she told me I could open it, Ive now got to give nothing away when I pick her up, I just want to give her a massive hug I'm so very proud of her
  7. My dd sang "I know it's today"from Shrek singing is not something that my dd has lessons in but she wanted to give it a go.
  8. No first time at the Hammond it is a long way for us but we were very impressed and our dd enjoyed the auditioned so our fingers are crossed now that her maths & english tests are all good and look forward to the march recall audition for funding

  10. DD's letter has just arrived and soo very happy she's been offered a place for Year 7
  11. Yes dtadmin it's certainly been a very hard week for both of us fingers crossed they both do well on Monday x

Thanks to everyone who has given advice she saw her ballet teacher tonight and had a big hug, we know this is going to be a tough few months just so hard when they are so passionate about dancing and you can't help them a bit more by making their dream come true at a school they love soo much, but hopefully with 4 more auditions coming up who knows what will happen. Good luck to everyone else over the next few months auditioning at Tring x
  15. Hi LinMM I really don't know where to start re. possible Financial Grants and bursery possibilities? This is all so new to me if anyone has any advice on financial grants or burserys I would be most grateful I can't believe how upset she is, at least her dad was with me when I told her as I was crying too I know it's such a tough thing to do x

  17. Finally got the letter today dd has been offered a place but no funding audition unfortunately we do not have the money to send her fingers crossed for the next auditions

Very nervously waiting(auditioned 15/10) still waiting to hear if dd has made it through to the funding audition the principal was away the week before half term so it has delayed letters being sent out until sometime this week, I'm sure I'm going to give the postman a heart attack this week lol

  20. Hi Huddsballetmum I've booked us into the ibis now shame the audition is in the afternoon for ours but hopefully escape before the rush hour traffic, hope all goes well x
  21. Hi we are taking our dd on the 19th nov just started looking at hotels been looking at your posts above so hopefully will book tomorrow
