along for the ride mum
Has anyone seen this? If you have I-player this is well worth a watch, some lovely Spanish dancing!
along for the ride mum
some lovely Spanish dancing! What am I saying!!! Master of the understatement, I was too engrossed watching it to add any more but would highly recommend anyone with I-player to treat yourself to an hour with this, beautiful!
alison
As I thought: the appearance of a dance company isn't even mentioned in the Proms Guide. Had I known, it might have influenced my decision on whether to attend. Unfortunately, I only saw references to it once I was up in London this evening, by which time it was too late to set the recorder.
along for the ride mum
I said the same to my husband, I would love to have been there but no mention of it anywhere that I could see
John Mallinson
The Prom is on iPlayer and the introduction to Tricorne starts about 38 minutes in. Bolero follows at about 86 minutes.
Irmgard
The Prom Guide (pocket edition) does mention the Antonio Marquez Company but no indication that this is actually a dance company!
MargaretN7
And Tamara's one of the people on BBC2 this evening on Proms Extra (19.30) reviewing the week's concerts, including Bolero.
MrsBBB
Slightly off topic, Zakharova was at tonight's Prom watching other half Vadim Repin play James MacMillan's violin concerto.
Jan McNulty
Just watched Bolero - fab-u-lous!!! Thanks for letting us know about it. (I started to watch Le Tricorne but didn't like the music so I fast forwarded!)
alison
I'm confused. My TV guide says that this coming Saturday's Proms Extra programme features Bolero, but wasn't that last weekend (when Tamara was on - I missed about the first 15 minutes)? Jan McNulty
The Proms Extra with Ms Rojo and Bolero is on the i-Player, so has presumably already been transmitted.

Yes it was definitely last Saturday. I did comment on it in Ballet in the Media. As far as I know it is still on the i-Player. Well worth watching; I thought is was fabulous. I agree with Janet about Le Tricorne. Too fast and too silly!
