Jan McNulty
I am part of the campaign trying to save our beloved park from destruction. The team has made a fun video based around Blur's Park Life. Please watch and enjoy!
Guest oncnp
Why would anyone destroy a park?
Jan McNulty
It is a government department that wants to destroy the park by building a high-speed dual carriage way through our park to the docks. The area is very urban and Rimrose is our only major green space. It's a long thin finger of land stretching from close to the docks most of the way towards the motorway. Alternative solutions are available.

Fonty
That sounds typical of the way government departments work. Are you a member of the Open Spaces Society? This is the sort of thing they are always involved in, and they do great work.
Fonty
An example of the way in which the Secretary of State for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs operates. This is not a political post, merely a statement of fact. https://www.oss.org.uk/coffey-kowtows-to-landowners-and-destroys-public-path-consensus/
Mary
Very good luck to you- green space is a necessity for all, not a luxury.
