Abbots Bromley - closure, and rescue plan

Very sorry to read in today's Telegraph that Abbots Bromley school will close at the end of summer term.

Just seen that a Hong Kong banking group is in serious discussions with them to try and save it.

Oh my goodness how sad. 

 

Unfortunately it it looks like we dodged a bullet as dd was offered a musical theatre scholarship there but she went to Hammond instead. She’d have been half way through her A level /musical theatre Btec. 

 

As a parent I loved the environment & ethos and I feel very sad for some of the lovely staff and students we met there on open evening & audition day who this will affect.

Really sad news. We loved the school and the setting. Dd1 would have gone but it was too far for us.

There is an article in today's Times saying that Abbots Bromley school has been rescued by Chinese investors who promise to restore it to its "former glory". It will reopen in September.
