Jeteitallaway Posted June 16, 2019 Posted June 16, 2019 Could anyone please recommend a piece of classical / contemporary music for my DD , age has been asked to choreograph a piece for her leavers concert . We can’t find anything that stands out ( it has to be instrumental) thank you 😊
Pixiewoo Posted June 16, 2019 Posted June 16, 2019 Personally I love Karl Jenkins ' Palladio ' and DD created a dance to Saint Seans ' Dance Macabre ' ... both very striking pieces of music. I first came across Palladio when I saw a ballet on pointe with dancers in black and white striped catsuits and very contemporary moves. Hope this helps x
MrsMoo2 Posted June 16, 2019 Posted June 16, 2019 I used Saint Saens The carnival of the animals, Swan section for my A level dance exam years ago! 😆 When DS had to choreograph a solo he used instrumental music from The Hobbit. Took him an age to choose though and then we had to edit it to two minutes exactly. There’s always David Plumpton...😆 xx
Streetdancer Posted June 16, 2019 Posted June 16, 2019 My DD choreographed her own thing to Buckbeak's Flight from The Prisoner of Azkaban soundtrack.
glissade Posted June 16, 2019 Posted June 16, 2019 The second movement of Berlioz's Symphonie Fantastique?
Jeteitallaway Posted June 19, 2019 Author Posted June 19, 2019 Thank you we are spoilt for choice with these ! 1
