Katymac
DD's problem is so different - afro, dry & wild She has never had smooth hair - I don't think it would be possible!! The number of people who said "I'll sort it" & gave up is unbelievable, esp during our Ballroom/Latin days

Mrs Brown
my daughter has fluffy curly hair and a lot of it although it isn't particularly long but has a lot of volume.... I took her to a local afro hair shop/hair dressers and asked for advice. She is only young and they suggested some children's afro hair products which have been great for her, they don't dry her hair out, they slick it back pretty well, smell nice and she is happy with them. Worth googling to see if there is a shop near you that you can go and ask for advice.
r3dh3d
Well, just a quick update to say that we have got a sort of fix. It is an afro hair product - the class of products known as "edge control". It's like gel, but non-drying (doesn't contain alcohol) and is a LOT more sticky. Like pritt stick for hair. The one we are using is keracare edge tamer, but there are lots of different brands.
