ArucariaBallerina
Does anybody know how you apply for the extended associates? The application for the young dancers is up, not sure how the extended will work!
SMabbutt
The information is on the website http://www.elmhurstdance.co.uk/Elmhurst-Young-Dancers.html They have renamed the extended programme as young dancers and the auditions are May 13th for years 7 & 8 and 20th for year 9 up. hoglett
Are the associate classes on Saturdays or Sundays please?
SMabbutt
My daughter is in year 7 on the program and attends Saturday 12.45 - 2.45 for a combined baller and exercise class. All extended students are at the same time. This year there are 2 level 1 classes and she says there are about 20 in a class when everyone is there. Do you know. ..do they audition according to their current school year or what they'll be in in September? There's two different dates.
ArucariaBallerina
The application form on their website only asks whether the individual is in year 4, 5 or 6... Is the extended associates audition a case of just turning up?
Piccolo
If you email your enquiry to Bridget Byrne (details on their website) she will either answer your question or forward it to the extended associates teacher :-)
ArucariaBallerina
Thank you... Just wanted to query whether anybody knew what sort of photos Elmhurst are asking for? It states first and second position, but that is all! With or without plié or tendu? What arms? I have no idea!
ArucariaBallerina
Is there any possibility at all of a full time place being considered at the Associates audition, or is this out of the question? ? I absolutely adored Elmhurst and the auditions!
Encroix
I'm resurrecting this post as DD has just had her audition time through for Extended YD. Does anyone have any tips or anecdotes from the audition? It's 1hr 15 mins long. She's done a RBS mid assoc audition this year- will it he similar? Thanks in advance.
